Graduates of this educational institution are in demand on the labor market, and teachers are very interested in ensuring that the children have both a life and a career in the future. This college is one big happy family.

From the history

The history of the technological and pedagogical college dates back to 1932, with the formation of the Ostyak-Vogul national district. Eliminating illiteracy among the native peoples of the Ural North was one of the main tasks. At that time, the Ostyak-Vogul Pedagogical College became the first secondary specialized educational institution for training personnel for national schools in the district.

Nowadays

Today it is a multi-level, multi-disciplinary educational institution of secondary vocational education with a long history and a great future. The educational complex includes three educational buildings, specialized laboratories and production workshops, libraries, a museum, assembly and sports halls, dormitories, health centers, eight educational production facilities and an educational company. In addition, a network of branches was opened in the cities of Ugra - Nyagan, Sovetsky, Beloyarsky, Lyantor, Surgut and Pyt-Yakh.

College Director: Olga Byvalina

He is proud of his students, who become winners in competitions at various levels and show high results.

Every year they receive educational grants from the Governor of Ugra, as well as personal scholarships. More than 70% of graduates find employment in their specialty immediately after graduation, and the remaining 30% even before passing the final certification.

“We are implementing 19 training programs for skilled workers (welders, mechanics, cooks...), 55 training programs for mid-level specialists (kindergarten teachers, music teachers, commodity experts, navigator technicians) and 15 training programs for office workers,” said college director Olga Byvalina. “In addition, there are almost 150 training and advanced training programs (drivers, welders, hairdressers).”

Currently, there are 2,000 full-time students. And there are 1261 part-time students.

“We have a huge area of activity. One of the difficulties is different educational buildings. This makes it a little more difficult for students to communicate with each other, and also affects the workload of teachers. The remaining difficulties that we have can be corrected. In any case, strive for this,” summed up the college director.

Taking care of the future of graduates

One of the brightest moments of the College of Technology and Pedagogy is the network project for communication with employers. According to the project manager, industrial training master Irina Kuritsyna, it has existed for 2 years now. “Social partnership plays a very important role in modern vocational education,” she noted. – Therefore, employers are important people for us. We must make sure that they are not just outside observers, but people expecting a finished, high-quality “product,” that is, well-trained personnel. And for this, employers must also take part in their production.”

Participants in the project include teachers, students, and representatives of the labor market, of whom there are already more than a hundred today. Based on agreements with employers, the best students and students of specialized specialties and professions receive additional grants and scholarships. As Irina Kuritsyna said, thanks to the implementation of this project, employers’ confidence in graduates and interest in the college itself has significantly increased.

Preparing students for Russian Post

Starting this academic year, under the order of Russian Post, a new specialty has been opened at the college - “Communication Operator”.

“We have a desire to start teaching this specialty in Ugra, because in the country in recent years there has been no secondary specialized training for this profession. They teach only in Moscow and in higher educational institutions,” said Sergei Zaporozhin, director of the Office of the Federal Postal Service for Ugra. “We came to the college, and we were fully supported here. Preparations went on for exactly a year. We launched the first group at the beginning of this school year.”

As Sergei Zaporozhin said, although the guys are studying to become telecom operators, after graduating, their level of knowledge will correspond to the heads of postal service departments. In addition, he assured that these graduates will be provided with jobs without fail.

“Now Russian Post is striving to be better. I personally take part in the education of students, because we need good personnel - young people. Nothing can be changed without new injections,” summed up the Director of the Office.

The continuity of generations

As Olga Byvalina reported, it is not uncommon for them to have children of their graduates come to college to receive an education.

So, in 1989, Oksana Gorunova came to the then pedagogical school. Today she is a primary school teacher at school No. 11 in Khanty-Mansiysk. “Having worked in the profession for several years, you understand how much useful, necessary information we received within the walls of this educational institution,” she said. “I am very glad and proud that the teachers who taught me are now teaching my daughter. I am confident that the knowledge, experience, and practice that she will receive will become an integral part of her professional work in the future.”

Her daughter Nastya is finishing her last year of college today with a degree in Correctional Pedagogy in Primary Education. “Someone should also teach special children,” Anastasia shared. – We have a lot of practice, both in correctional classes and in regular classes. Of course, working with children is always difficult, but their smiles, responsiveness and openness help a lot. I am not disappointed in my future profession; after graduating from college, I am ready to continue the family business - educating children.”

Keeping traditions

On the basis of the college, thanks to the victory in the competition for a grant, the project “Ethno-educational center “Yuva” is being implemented. Its goal is to unite students of different specialties to promote and instill the culture of the small indigenous peoples of Ugra in the younger generation.

Classes are held both in college premises specially prepared for classes with children, and directly in kindergartens and schools in the city.

Schoolchildren and preschoolers are taught the Khanty language, shown how to correctly make amulets and play the sankvyltap and narsyukh, and national sports are clearly shown.

“Everything happens in the format of a game, it’s not burdensome or boring,” said college teacher Elena Brich. “The work involves students from different specialties, who are studying in different buildings - guys from the music department, hotel services and tourism, future educators and primary school teachers.”

As part of the project, an agreement has already been concluded with the Wonderland kindergarten, and there is also an agreement with city school No. 8 and the gymnasium.

For a barrier-free environment

The College of Technology and Pedagogy does a lot for people with disabilities. One of the striking examples of college staff’s concern for people with disabilities was given by Natalia Togidnyaya, a member of the “Transformation” society for wheelchair users.

“Two years ago we organized a group of wheelchair users who wanted to get their licenses. The only educational institution that agreed to take on such a huge amount of work was the college,” recalls Natalya. “This was the first case in the history of the district, and perhaps even Russia. Because people with disabilities are taught individually, but here we have a whole group.”

Natalya said that a 100% barrier-free environment was created for them - special simulators, a special car with manual controls, good conditions in the educational building... The “students” were picked up for classes by car, and then taken home. “For people with disabilities, a car is not so much a means of transportation or a luxury, it is a means of rehabilitation,” she said. “It’s like a door to an unknown world - with new opportunities, new people.”

“Today in college they teach driving to people with varying degrees of disability, and they find an approach to everyone. Those who come from other cities in the district are allocated a hostel. Moreover, the accompanying person too,” said Olga Byvalina.

Study and work? Easily!

There are 8 educational production facilities on the basis of the college. Up to 200 students work for them annually. “We provide students with work records. They receive a salary and thus gain experience in order to join the advanced training system and leave the college with work experience,” commented the director of the educational institution. “This significantly increases the ranking of our graduates in the labor market, which is very significant.”

For example, future auto mechanics work at a car wash, which exists on the basis of a college and is located on an educational farm. As 3rd year student Vladimir said, their work schedule is every other day. Opening hours: from 8 am to 5 pm. There is a price list here, approved by the director of the college. And, as industrial training master Nikolai Sivkov said, the prices are not bad.

A student recruitment agency, created in 2007, helps students find employment. Here they will find not only temporary employment for students, but also permanent employment for graduates of the institution.

Labor bears fruit

The college also has its own garden.

Plant growing students grow tangerines, lemons, pomegranates... “Last New Year, I was given a pineapple,” shared Olga Byvalina. “And the banana hasn’t borne fruit yet, but we’re all really looking forward to it.”

Today, renovations are in full swing in the greenhouse - future builders are honing their skills here. This year they are finishing their studies, and this is their final qualifying work.

As the director said, they try to do everything on their own - repairs can be combined with the practice of finishing specialists, driving lessons on a heavy truck - with snow removal on the college grounds.

To help parents

The college is especially proud of the Center for Alternative Forms of Preschool Education. Today it is visited by 200 children from the city from one and a half to 3.5 years old. Those who do not attend kindergartens come here, as well as children who need additional developmental activities.

The center operates 4 educational programs, and it is planned to add another one soon - for children from 3 months to one year. Classes take place before and after lunch for 2 hours. For now - without food and sleep.

Future educators undergo continuous practice here. Soon they will become qualified specialists, and it will be easier for them to work with children when they leave college.

You can't catch a fish without hard work...

You cannot become a good specialist without practice, so students practice their professional skills in college workshops.

Painters - learn to putty and paint. Masons - learn the basics of stone masonry. They undergo practical training at city construction sites, where there is always a shortage of workers.

5th-year student Vladimir Brown is studying to become a master of industrial training in the construction field. In addition, he is already working as an apprentice. Vladimir deserved this privilege with his serious attitude to his studies. As he said, after graduation he plans to stay in his native college and independently teach the children to become masters of their craft.

Chefs take vocational training classes to learn how to prepare works of art. They try to place graduates only in restaurants, no cafes or canteens.

In a circle of like-minded people

At the college library there is a literary and poetry club “Friday”, named after the hero of the novel by Daniel Defoe.

As a member of the club, sophomore Zarema Magomedova, said, it has been operating for the second year. “We also cooperate with the literary club of the Southern State University “Ugra Vagants”. At meetings we communicate, learn how to properly present our creativity, express our love for poetry,” the girl shared.

Here, in the library, a literary lounge has also been created, where events dedicated to the work of poets and writers are held. Frequent guests of the club include writer Pavel Cherkashin and poetess Maria Voldina. “We read the works we like, discuss them, argue - it’s very interesting!” – said one of the students.

Not only college students show themselves creatively, but also its teachers. At their own request, not long ago they created their own choir. “This is not even a choir, because we have artists, vocalists, and musicians,” said Yuri Zaidullin, one of the project participants. “This is how we fill our leisure time, and at the same time we delight others with our performances.”

Gifted teachers gather 2-3 times a week. They are currently preparing a concert for college students. “I have been working at this educational institution relatively recently. And I like that here anyone can satisfy their needs in terms of the stage,” shared Yuri.

There is always a place for rest in life

The college successfully operates a psychological relaxation room, where both students and teachers come, and, more recently, driving school cadets who need to relax.

“Here we work with personality traits such as increased aggressiveness, anxiety, emotional instability,” explained the college educational psychologist. “Today the program is already producing positive results. In addition, we engage in psychocorrection, for example, of aggressive character traits.

We identify risk groups in different areas and work. For such cases, we have drawn up a program of psychocorrectional classes, when we study in the sensory room according to a certain schedule.”

Oh, sports! You are life!

The Technological and Pedagogical College has a sports club “Forward”, which includes 13 sections - from tourist activities to the main team sports. They are attended by over 400 students of the educational institution.

Thus, the tourist section “Pilgrim” successfully exists; it is a collective member of the district tourism federation.

“We give students the opportunity to receive instructor training,” said the section leader. — In addition to theoretical and practical classes at the college, sports trips are held annually in the summer. It's like industrial practice."

The guys started with one catamaran, today there are 4 of them in the section. Nice, six-seater. There are tents and even a tourist bath! The hiking route changes slightly every year. The end point of such a route this year was a place a little further from the Priobskoye field. And then coming back. On average, this takes a week. After the hike, students receive a certificate of participation, which gives them the right to be hike leaders themselves, as well as to work for hire.

The most widespread is the mini-football section, which has existed since 2009. “We have up to 50 students, but only the top 10 play for the college team. “We are multiple winners of the district championships,” boasted the head of the section, Stepan Fedorov. “We always take part in both city and municipal competitions.”

The educational institution is especially proud of its powerlifting section. As its director Alexander Protopopov shared, only college students study here. “We have been working for more than 5 years. This year our team became the best in the area! - said Alexander. “Based on the results of 2013, we have a Russian champion in bench press and a silver medalist at the World Championships in Denmark.”

To sum it up...

For the results achieved, the Khanty-Mansiysk Technological and Pedagogical College has repeatedly become a laureate of the competitions “100 Best Colleges of Russia”, “Best Colleges of the Urals-2010”, “Best Educational Centers-2012, 2013”, included in the registers “Best Educational Institution of Russia” and “ Reliable reputation”, to the All-Russian catalog of bona fide suppliers of goods, works, and services for state and municipal needs. This is the place where life is in full swing.

You can talk about it for a long, long time... But, probably, the most important thing is that people who are not indifferent to the fate of others work here. Smiling, friendly, always ready to help their students - to give advice, to guide them on the “true path”. And the guys reciprocate their feelings - they love, trust, and lead by example. And if today’s school graduates want to become part of it, the doors at this educational institution are always open for them.
