If you want something important. If you want something important, let’s talk about something important. And once upon a time there were enough raspberries in a cup

If you want something important, let's talk about something important.
Although this concept is so twofold.
Loneliness is not so scary at all.
It's scary to die of cancer at twenty-one.

It's scary not to sleep at night from gnawing pain,
What crawls under the skin and eats from the roots.
And you're digging a grave from the words "fired"
Or “it’s better to remain friends with you.”

You say how frightening the premises are
The inevitability of fate, fate, destiny?
The choice is scary - to go collect bottles,
or go straight to selling the body.

You say there is no apartment in the high-rise building,
Are utility payments choking your neck?
And once upon a time there were enough raspberries in a cup
And grandma's pancakes for dinner.

You say that there are fools and dramas all around,
What is in nightmares are stupid empty faces.
It’s scary for a child to lose his mother at nine.
It's scary that the mother won't let her child be born.

It's scary to see how the world carries anger within itself,
How friends exchanged knives in the back.
If you want something important, let’s talk about something good.
How to be at least half kind?

How to find the strength to remain honest
Feel the will in yourself, cleanse your soul?
Really, do you want to talk about something important? Sit down. Wonderful,
It's important that you still want to listen.

I like to think about poems; I probably started this habit during my Literary Studies class at the philology department. I especially love it when a poem comes across by chance and suddenly turns out to be in tune with inner thoughts and experiences. This is exactly what happened to me. I don’t know the author, I came across him by accident while scrolling through the VKontakte website.

What I am about to say will not be anything new either for me or for you. They talk about this all the time, they always think about it. But... and then... again and again, and all in a circle.

So. Where are we running? What do we want? What are we aiming for? Professional excellence? Material well-being? Self-development? And what’s most interesting is that there is nothing like that! No, I’m not talking about extremes now, everything is clear with them, and in our lives they do not occur so often.

Is there anything wrong with wanting to be a good specialist? The Lord Himself told us a parable about talents. Doing what you love is wonderful! And so, from an everyday point of view, if you look at it: we spend time at work most of your day. How scary it is, day after day, to do something that irritates and depresses you!

Tell me, what’s wrong with wanting to have material well-being? Not to live “payday to paycheck”, not to borrow “thousands” until salary, to be able to travel, and even to have that notorious Mercedes? The problem begins when you fall asleep and wake up with the thought of him, when you lust... So an interesting situation arises: that a person who has can depend on things less than a person who does not have.

What about self-development? What's wrong with studying foreign languages? Skiing, snowboarding, cycling? What's wrong with wanting to learn how to draw?

Everything is so, but where then do disappointed people come from, who have traveled all over the world, but have never found harmony within themselves? People who have tried “everything from revelry to coma, knocked out eleven out of ten, counted the earth’s day according to Pluto’s clock,” and at the same time they feel some kind of emptiness, a burnt-out feeling inside themselves, a kind of restlessness. What is it about “raspberries in a cup and grandma’s pancakes for dinner”? It seems to me that this is what we are looking for on Saturday night and Sunday morning in church. A feeling of something real, a feeling of life, a touch of what is really important, of meaning. We all understand all this, but why do we forget again and again, and only remember when the thunder roars?..

If you want something important, let's talk about something important.
