With reduced awareness, the ability to reflect what is happening in clear thoughts and put them into a whole picture is lost. Sleeping consciousness sinks into every thought, as if into a separate event. The understanding of the broader context of the situation is crumbling. The channel of perception narrows down to the realization of the simplest meanings. The reaction to events on the scale of adequacy and delusion tends to the lower divisions.

Each of us is relatively insane. And this is in the order of things. There is a popular opinion among psychologists that there are no healthy people in society. An admittedly insane is a person immersed in dreams only deeper in relation to his environment.

Character accentuation

There is such a term in psychology - accentuation. They designate bright character traits. For example, emotional enslavement, a weakened connection with earthly reality in conjunction with a rich inner world is called schizoid accentuation. The increased thirst for admiration, egocentricity and demonstrativeness inherent in artists are called hysterical accentuation. Increased meticulous pedantry, irritability, emotional callousness and a tendency to tyranny are attributed to epileptoid accentuation.

Moderate accentuation is inherent in everyone and is considered a psychological norm. Excessive accentuation is already called mental pathology.

That is, when the character begins to prevail over the sobriety of thinking and perception, then the person loses contact with reality, and his mind is pushed around by the most pronounced hallucinations.

Admitting the truth

They lose awareness when they refuse to admit the intolerable truth. For example, a person could not imagine himself without "significant others", he lost them - and it was as if the whole world had collapsed for him. To preserve at least the illusion of the previous life, the mind can go behind the mind.

But the most popular reason for unawareness is the striving to preserve at all costs. They believe in delusional beliefs exactly to the extent that they are devoid of awareness. By lowering awareness, they degrade just in order to preserve and strengthen "valuable" illusions.

The main reason for psychogenic insanity is the unwillingness to put up with what is happening, resistance to the truth, preference for it to be forgotten in dreams, when a person, as if going into another space, goes crazy into the measurement of his own projections.
