The Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) at ChVUT specializes in robotization and digitalization of industry. It has the latest technology available, including 3D printers and robots working with people.

The oral part of the Czech language exam must be taken at the faculty

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU has strict requirements for the Czech language exam for foreign applicants. You can take both the written and oral parts at the faculty itself. It is also possible, instead of passing the written part at the faculty, to provide a certificate of knowledge of the Czech language at level B2 (for example, passing the state exam), but in any case the oral part will need to be taken at the faculty.

Faculty of Transport

Specialties:

  • Automation and computer science
  • Transport systems and technology
  • Intelligent transport systems
  • Air Transport
  • Management and economics in transport and telecommunications
  • Professional pilot
  • Technological maintenance and repair of aviation equipment

Studying at the Faculty of Transport of ChVUT is organized in such a way that all students are admitted to the bachelor's degree on a general basis. curriculum“Engineering and technology in transport and transport communications”, and are enrolled in a specific specialty in the 2nd year (before the start of the 4th semester). During your studies in the 3rd semester, you need to choose one of the proposed bachelor’s thesis projects, and, accordingly, a specialty. Assignment of a specific project to a student is based on a competition (performance, number of credits received).

Entrance exams for undergraduate studies: math test.

The exception is the specialty "Professional pilot": entrance exams for this specialty consist of a written test in mathematics, a written test in English language and oral interview. At the interview, the commission evaluates the applicant’s predisposition to flight practice (you must bring a Medical Certificate Class 1 and an honest statement about your awareness of the need to pay for flight practice).

Theoretical training within the undergraduate specialty “Professional Pilot” is free. Practical training will cost approximately CZK 950,000 (total for all three years of study).

The Faculty of Transport of CTU also has a branch in Decin. Admission to the department in Decin does not require entrance exams.

Faculty of Information Technology

At the Faculty of Informatics of ChVUT, an applicant enters the general broad bachelor's program “Informatics” and only after the first year of study chooses a specific specialty:

  • Security and Information Technology
  • Information systems and management
  • Computer engineering
  • Computer graphics
