The daily routine in the military units of the Russian army. The life of the cadets The daily routine of the cadet of the SVI MVD

A typical student's day goes something like this: university, work, if any, food, free time, sleep. As a rule, they also complain that there is not enough time for the last three points. What about a weekday for the cadets of the military academy? The correspondent of “P.S. - 5 owls "said one of the students, who wished not to disclose his name.

6:00. Climb

The defenders of the Motherland wake up at 6 am every day, except Sunday. They have a day off on Sunday, so they get up late - at 7.

We wake up to the command: "Course, rise!" We open all the windows and throw the blankets out of bed to ventilate the room. Exactly in 5 minutes we should be in sports uniform on the street. Everybody goes to exercise, no exceptions. On the street we will have a short run, usually about 3 kilometers, and a standard set of exercises, - says the cadet.

After the guys go to the barracks. They are given half an hour to wash, shave, make the beds, put themselves and their uniforms in order for those who did not have time in the evening, and already at 7:15 am to stand for the morning inspection at the foreman of the unit.
- It checks our appearance, how our uniforms, shoes look, and also how the bed is made. If someone has something wrong, then the foreman makes a remark and sends it to redo, - says the student.

Then the cadets start breakfast, followed by the raising of the national flag on the parade ground to the anthem of the Russian Federation.

9:00. Training sessions

Air Force Academy students study every day except Sunday. They usually have three pairs, 1.5 hours each. They go to classes in their everyday green uniforms, but during the exams they wear a formal blue uniform.

At 2:00 pm, the training session ends and cadets are given 10 minutes to change their work clothes, clean their shoes and wash their hands before lunch.

14:10. Dinner

We are given 30 minutes for lunch. We can say that we have a small buffet: whatever soup he wanted, he took this one for himself. Usually they give borscht, buckwheat soup, pea soup, there are also main courses, compote, tea and some kind of sweet roll.

After that, students are given personal time: for rest, sleep, cleaning clothes. At 15:25 cadets start self-training or, as it is called, "SAMPO". At SAMPO they prepare for classes, go to consultations with teachers, and study independently in classrooms.
At 19:30 SAMPO ends and the cadets have 10 minutes to clean up before dinner.

19:40. Dinner

For dinner, the "green" are given only 20 minutes. After that, cadets have time for personal needs, from 20:00 to 21:00.
- At this time, we can talk with family and friends. By the way, the telephones are at the commanders of the groups and they are given out for an hour only in private time, and then they are taken away again.

21:05. An evening walk

An evening walk lasts only 15 minutes. The cadets breathe fresh air, walk in formation and sing "Katyusha", "Marusya", "A soldier is walking through the city" and other military songs.
At 21:20, a twenty-minute evening calibration begins. The foreman bypasses the personnel and sums up the results of the past day.

From 21:40 we have an evening toilet. We are given only 20 minutes, so we need to act very quickly: take a swim, shave, put ourselves and form in order. There is, of course, little time for this, but life at such a pace taught us to act quickly, - says the student.

22:00. Hang up

After 4 pm the long-awaited lights out. The cadet's dream is to kiss the pillow. During the lights out, an inspector is on duty along the course, keeps order and checks the personnel.
And the next day - rise at 6:00 and everything is repeated again: exercise, cleaning the buildings, breakfast ...

Would you like to connect your life with military affairs?

At first, I wanted to make this article long with detailed descriptions of lectures, seminars, labs and everything else. But, firstly, there is still a whole chapter ahead devoted only to study, and there it will all be. And now we will continue to review the daily routine and dwell purely on the features of military training.

Three pairs were assigned to classes every day, except Sunday weekend. Starting at 9.00, ending at 14.15. There is a 15 minute break between couples, and 5 minutes between academic hours. It seems that we did not study much, but we had enough. Especially if any fieldwork or all three pairs of the same discipline, it happened.

What are the features?

The most amazing thing for me is the constant debriefing.

Every week, every month and, of course, the semester, the results of our training were summed up. In the subdivision, we sat on stools and distribution took place. The best and the worst stood out.

That is, for each discipline, the marks of each cadet were written out for a week (month, semester) and all people were sorted into excellent students, good students, C grade students and poor students:

  • If in all subjects or in 75% of disciplines there are fives, and the rest is good - an excellent student.
  • If only good or excellent, but fives less than 75% - good.
  • At least one triple is a C grade.
  • At least one deuce is a failure.

And that alone sometimes decided whether you were good or bad. Because personal discipline and excellent service in attire were taken for granted, and not worth encouraging.

This is how I, having received only one A at the seminar on cultural studies, became an excellent student in the first week of study in 2003. And this allowed me, almost the only one from the entire course (except for the soldiers who entered, who stood in the outfit during the oath of office a week earlier) to go on the first leave. The rest of the layoffs were deprived for poor internal order, I wrote about.

But never after have I managed to be even good at the end of the week. True, he was not a failure. Always with threes. That did not prevent me from passing session after session only excellently. (How damn humble I am!)

Appointment of the attendant

A duty officer for the study group was appointed daily. In our highly organized platoon, it was the morning janitor to avoid confusion and injustice. And although I wrote that he was appointed from among the especially stunted people who did not want to run, but this was not always the case. For the senior years, the next cleaner was assigned to the beds. As they slept, they took turns cleaning the barracks in the morning. It was convenient, because you could always roughly know your day when you were on duty.

Which is extremely important and why. The duty of the person on duty was to appear first to the teacher. Ask what you need, take chalk, maps (topographic), set up a lecturer, prepare a blackboard and all that. The duty officer ordered everyone to stand up at the entrance of the teacher and reported that such and such a study group in the amount of so many people had arrived for classes. And on the blackboard was written the expense of personnel. According to the list, there is, attire, medical unit, vacation, or else where and how much.

Remember: the word CASH is spelled together! How many people have suffered from the ridicule of teachers who are especially jealous of the Russian language. Often they asked "whose face?" When it was written separately. Although some didn't care.

So if it was easier with civilian teachers, then it was categorically difficult for the department of our tactics "Wax air defense tactics" to just enter the teacher's office correctly. They were all no lower than a lieutenant colonel, but mostly colonels. Served and honored. Many are not without a shell in their heads. And then the passing studies of the regulations of the Internal Service and the Stroyevy began. Remember, you will shudder.

And having a schedule in hand and knowing your duty date, you could calculate a good day or not. And now about the schedule.

The actual schedule

This is another great feature of military education. My younger sister is now studying at a state university, so she does not know which pairs and when will be delivered earlier than a few days before their start. This is simply impossible in a military school.

Before the start of each semester, each department is issued with printed timetables for the entire semester, including exams, printed at the Academy's printing house (and there is one!) For six months we knew in which office, when and to whom I would take an exam, test or something else in one discipline or another.

Everything was written in a special encrypted form of letters, numbers and circles. The name of the subject, the number of the topic and the lesson, the number of the academic building and the office, the type of lesson and the name of the teacher. And not once in five years has there been a single replacement! I don't know how many people were involved in its development, who these people are, and even where they were. But these are geniuses. Imagine synchronizing the educational process of an entire academy with about one and a half thousand students. Think over who will sit in which class, who will teach them and so that nothing intersects anywhere. Cool guys!

What the class schedule itself looked like below, and here is an enlarged fragment:

Let's analyze the first discipline using an example:

  • RCC - Radio circuits and signals (discipline name)
  • 6/63 lr - topic 6, lesson number 63, lr - laboratory work.
  • 3/309 - building number and audience number.
  • 1109, 1108 - teachers' numbers (where 11 is the department number, the second group of the teacher's numbers directly).
  • A further wavy line with an arrow means that the laboratory is in two pairs.

Notice the line above the 6th instead of the lessons and the beginning of the same line on the 13th. This is a great outfit. No training was planned for the platoon that day. We went on guard (from 13 to 15 people), and the rest in other types of outfits of the academy. More on that later.

All the teachers were written in the annotations under the schedule, but we already knew them, so this part was usually cut off. After that, the schedule was laminated with scotch tape at the back and was worn folded in four for all six months. The days were gradually erased. By the end of the semester, the well-worn schedule was like a battle map. I tried to keep them. True, now offhand I found only one thing:

221 training groups. 3 semester of the 2004-2005 academic year

The rarest rarity. The first semester of the second year 2004-2005 academic year. There is even a donor day in the schedule. True, I was on the farm, as the record says. And from behind, I personally and another friend of mine wrote down our outfits. For order. Although the lists of orders were kept by the platoon commander as expected.

Having strained, I can only remember a few times that the wrong teacher who is indicated in the schedule came, and even then from civilians. Exactly! Once a mathematics teacher was ill. All!

Wiggle room

Such a tight schedule provided room for action. Once I quarreled with a warrant officer-laboratory assistant of one of the departments. The matter reached the head of the department, sorted it out and it turned out that I was right. This illustrative saga I, perhaps, will somehow sign, now it is different. The colonel apologized, we seemed to have hushed up the story, but just before the session itself, through the son of one of the teachers, my colleague at the same time, information came to me that there was an idea to stab me at one of the two exams of this department. Since the teachers were imbued with sympathy for the ensign.

In one of the disciplines I went to the "automatic", as I had several fives in a row, and the teacher at the beginning of the year promised amnesty to such a conscientious military man. And now the last lesson before the test with an assessment (worse than an exam) is coming. Seminar. On which I will get a hundred pounds of three, if not a two and a khan for me. And the subject is a muddy shokapets. In principle, it didn’t warm me to hand it over, and in such situations, it didn’t. But there is a schedule! I know when he is this seminar. In short, I asked to hide me in a company outfit for that day, and that's all. And the sheep are fed and the wolves are safe. I got the machine gun.

That's enough about studying for now.

Most people plan their day in advance by deciding what time they will get up in the morning and what they will do at certain intervals. The army also has a clear daily routine that must be followed. A characteristic difference between the military and the so-called civilian daily routine is that the unit commander controls the time of the military personnel, who directly approves the daily routine of the military unit.

The daily routine of conscripts

The strict observance of the daily routine by the military is one of the key factors of military discipline, and its violation entails disciplinary sanctions. It is worth noting that depending on the type of troops and the specifics of completing tasks, the daily routine of a unit may differ, but not significantly. For conscripts, the daily routine establishes a plan for the conduct and implementation of the necessary measures, and also allocates time for study and personal needs. The daily routine on weekdays is different from weekends, but what exactly, we will consider further.

Example of a daily routine

To understand what we are talking about, we propose to visually familiarize yourself with an example of the daily routine of conscripts:
5.50 - the rise of squad leaders and their deputies;
06.00 - general rise;
06.10 - morning exercises;
06.40 - morning toilet, as well as making beds;
07.10 - inspection of soldiers;
07.30 - breakfast;
07.50 - preparation for classes;
08.00 - listening to radio broadcasts;
08.15 - informing personnel, training;
08.45 - sending personnel to informative classes;
09.00 - lessons (5 lessons of 1 hour with 10-minute breaks);
13.50 - shoe shine;
14.00 - lunch time;
14.30 - personal time;
15.00 - self-study classes;
16.00 - maintenance of weapons and military equipment;
17.00 - change of clothes, shoe shine;
17.25 - summing up;
18.00 - time for sports and educational activities;
19.00 - hygiene;
21.00 - viewing information television programs;
21.40 - evening verification;
22.00 - hang up.

How the daily routine may differ on different days of the week

Depending on the day of the week and due to additional events, the daily routine may change.
In many units, on Mondays, before classes, there is a general divorce on the parade ground, at which the unit commander or his deputy sums up the results of the past week, and also sets tasks for the next.
Friday is called "park day" (maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and military equipment), which is also allocated a separate time in the daily routine.

Maintenance of equipment by military personnel during a park day

In addition, there are bath days, during which time is allocated for washing the personnel. Usually, the unit commander allocates two days a week for washing, but in some cases, for example, after chores, the servicemen can also take a shower. Bath days got their name from the fact that earlier soldiers actually washed in baths, but now in practice all baths have been replaced with showers. However, all servicemen, out of habit, continue to call these days bathing days.

Nowadays, the transition to shower systems in the barracks is actively practiced, thanks to which military personnel can take a shower every day. Therefore, leaving the bathing days in the routine is a matter of time.

The daily routine of a contract soldier

In military units, servicemen do not only military service, but also voluntary - contract service. A characteristic difference between contract soldiers and conscripts is that they serve in the unit only at the time specified by the regulations. In other words, like civilians, their service resembles a normal working day. Servicemen spend the night outside the unit: in dormitories, in rented or in their own apartments.

The daily routine of servicemen under the contract should be drawn up taking into account the regulations of service time in order to fully ensure the fulfillment of the tasks of service and combat training and not exceed the standard 40 hours per week, regulated by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. In the event that a soldier is involved in serving in excess of the established weekly norm, he is obliged to be provided with rest time, based on his desire and the interests of military service.

The service time schedule and daily routine of contract servicemen are approved directly by the unit commander and must necessarily provide the following regulatory guarantees:

  • round-the-clock duty (outside the daily order) is allowed only by order of the senior command and in special cases;
  • according to the regulations, a soldier is allocated time for lunch, physical training and self-study;
  • if a soldier is summoned to serve on one of the days of rest, then he has the right to leave on another day of the week;
  • on days of rest (Saturday, Sunday, holidays) a special, softer daily routine is established for the part;
  • a contract soldier must be given two days off a week, although in practice this does not always work, especially if the unit is understaffed. In this case, they are paid for processing or are given time off (according to the report of the soldier).

An example of the regulation of service time for military personnel under contract:

arrival at service from Monday to Friday - 08.45;
departure from service from Monday to Friday - 17.45;
lunch - from 14.00 to 15.00;
classes - from 09.00 to 13.00;
physical training classes - on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15.00 to 17.00;
preparation for classes - from Monday to Friday - from 15.00 to 17.00;
bringing orders, setting tasks for the week (summing up the results for the month) - on Fridays from 16.00 to 16.45;
preparation for duty on duty in a company (battery) or a division is carried out on the day of defense from 13.00 to 17.00;
briefing on duty is carried out on the day before joining the outfit, from Monday to Friday at 16.00;
the briefing of the chief of the shift on duty is carried out on the day preceding the entry into combat duty, from Monday to Friday.

In general, the daily routine of contract soldiers differs from the routine of conscripts, but not significantly. In the part for contractors, only lunch is provided, since they have breakfast and dinner at home.

Officer's daily routine

The daily routine of an officer in the Russian army is practically the same as that of an ordinary soldier. It differs in that the officer must control the observance of the daily routine by his subordinates, and also, if necessary, organize additional events.

To understand what this is about, let's look at one day in the life of an officer.
Since the rise of the servicemen takes place at 6.00, the officer needs to arrive at the unit 10-15 minutes earlier. Immediately after the ascent, the officer must exercise, which lasts for 30 minutes. After that, while the personnel are busy with the morning toilet, the officer has about an hour of time to plan the day, fill out journals and other daily activities. Also, at this time, a meeting can be held with the commanders of units of different levels.

The officer then escorts the unit to breakfast.
After breakfast, just before classes, it is necessary to build up the personnel and inform about the plan of action for the day, or bring the necessary information. This happens separately only if there is no general divorce on the parade ground.

During classes (most often from 9 to 13.50), the officer is busy with official business: checking the internal order, organizing the work of the internal squad, working with documentation, conducting classes with personnel, and much more. Upon arrival of servicemen from training sessions, it is necessary to take them to lunch.

Further, the officer monitors the observance of the daily routine by the military until the evening check, which is usually held twenty minutes before lights out. Having checked the presence of all the soldiers, the officer clears the soldiers at 22.00 and can be free until the next day.

This is an approximate daily routine for an officer, but it is worth noting that it can vary depending on the day of the week and additional instructions from the management. Currently, contract servicemen (sergeants) can replace officers when accompanying a company for lunch, as well as during other events.

The daily routine in the educational part

Let's start with the fact that after being drafted, some servicemen do not end up in combat units, but in training (among the people "training"), where they acquire the proper knowledge and skills before they get into the combat unit. The training period is usually 3 to 6 months, after which the young soldiers are disbanded in parts. The daily routine in the training unit is approved by its commander. The main difference between the daily routine of the training unit and the usual one is that, as a rule, more time is allocated to training sessions and military personnel are trained more in specialized areas. In all other respects, the daily routine of the educational part is not much different. Control over the observance of the schedule in the training unit is very strict, since newly arrived servicemen need to be shown that the daily routine is the basis of discipline for all military units.

Upon completion of training, a soldier, depending on the direction of training, can receive a narrowly focused specialty, for example:

  • Tank driver, BMP, armored personnel carrier
  • Operator-gunner, gunner and similar specialties
  • Truck crane operator, operator of a transport-loading machine and others
  • Various specialties in engineering, airborne, radio-technical troops, air defense troops and artillery

Also, after the end of the training unit, a number of junior commanders come to the troops. Often in the rank of junior sergeant. They are specially trained to manage a unit, work with personnel and all kinds of skills necessary for a commander.

The daily routine in a military school

Most often, young guys who dream of becoming officers enter military universities. Most of them come just after school and have no idea what actually awaits them. The daily routine is the first difficulty they face from the very beginning of their studies, since now they will have to get up at 6.00, and "fight back" - at 22:00, and not as much as their body is used to. The first weeks it is especially difficult to get involved in a "new life", since not everyone is ready to live according to the order, but there is nowhere to go.

Formation of the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School on the parade ground

Senior cadets are most often allowed to live on the so-called "free exit", that is, after self-preparation, go to the hostel until the next morning, which resembles the daily routine of contract soldiers.
To understand what is the difference between the daily routine in a military school and the routine of a regular military unit, we propose to consider an example of one of the military schools and compare with the army one, which was given earlier.

The total ascent is 6.00.
Toilet - from 6.00 to 6.10.
Morning exercises - from 6.10 to 7.00.
Making beds, washing - from 7.00 to 7.20.
Morning inspection - from 7.20 to 7.30.
Breakfast - from 7.30 am to 8.15 am.
Prompt informing - from 8.15 to 8.45.
Preparation for classes, divorce for classes - from 8.45 to 9.00.
Lessons:
1 hour - 9.00 - 9.50;
2 hours - 10.00 - 10.50;
3 hours - 11.00 - 11.50;
4 hours - 12.00 - 12.50;
5 hours - 13.00 - 13.50;
6 hours - 14.00 - 14.50.
Hand washing - 14.50 - 15.00.
Lunch - from 15.00 to 15.30.
Afternoon. Listening to the latest news - from 15.30 to 16.00.
Maintenance of weapons and equipment - from 16.00 to 16.50.
Self-study - from 16.50 to 18.30.
Educational and sports events - from 18.30 to 19.20.
Dinner - from 19.30 to 20.00.
Time for personal needs - from 20.00 to 21.00.
Viewing information and political television programs - from 21.00 to 21.20.
Evening walk - from 21.20 to 21.35.
Evening verification - from 21.35 to 21.50.
Evening toilet - from 21.50 to 22.00.
Lights out - at 22.00.

As you can see, the daily routines of the military academy and other military units are very similar.

In conclusion, I would like to add that, observing the daily routine in the army, after demobilization, it will be much easier to plan your time, since it really becomes a habit, making a person more disciplined and organized. Many people note positive changes in the life of young guys after the army thanks to the routine. Here they learned to fulfill the assigned tasks on time, became independent and responsible. For those who have served in the army, it is easier to get a job and join a new team, especially in law enforcement agencies, where the preference is given to candidates who have completed military service.

How is the life of a cadet?

Admission to a higher military educational institution is fundamentally different from entering a civilian university. While doing yesterday's schoolchildren, they should be aware that the next 5 years of study will be held far from their relatives and friends. Thousands of school graduates wishing to serve the Motherland must go through the initial stage of admission to various military institutions of the country.

Military "abitura"

"Abitura" (admission) begins in early July and lasts until the end of the month. The initial stage includes the training of future military personnel.

Young guys are becoming familiar with such concepts as: morning exercises, mass sports work, walking in formation, a clear daily routine, marching step and much more, without which most people are used to living in civilian life.

Several dozen guys live in one room called a barracks. They are preparing for the entrance exams, for the professional selection, which will show who is ready to serve in the armed forces and who is not.

After 2 weeks, future cadets undergo a thorough medical examination, as a result of which persons with disabilities will be identified.

Exams are passed in accordance with the faculty in which the applicant wishes to study, and in the future he will serve in this specialty. According to the results of passing the entrance examinations, the applicant is enrolled in a higher educational institution, puts on a military uniform, has a short haircut in accordance with the charter and receives a cadet's shoulder straps.

KMB or Young Fighter Course

It starts from the end of July and lasts until the end of August. At this stage, the future soldier undergoes initial training. It includes: outfits, "sacred" military rituals (getting up, morning inspection, evening verification, lights out), study of articles of the charter, training in the drill step, march throws, performance according to the standard of wearing a gas mask and OZKA.

Fire and physical training is an integral part of the training of any soldier.

Cleaners maintain order in the barracks, who are appointed every morning before starting exercise.

The duties of the cleaner include: sweep dust from under the beds and bedside tables, sweep between the rows of beds, if necessary, wipe the floor with a damp cloth, take out the debris, wipe dust from all flat surfaces.

Each cadet has his own bedside table, where he can store washing supplies, brushes for cleaning shoes and clothes, handkerchiefs, collars (hemming material), small personal items, notebooks, study books, charters.

Many guys, former schoolchildren, accustomed to sneakers and other civilian shoes, quickly rub calluses on their feet. For medical help, they can go to a medical center - an infirmary.

Upon completion of the KMB course, all personnel will be redeployed to places of further training (academy, higher educational institution). Upon arrival at the academy (higher educational institution), cadets receive a full dress uniform. You need to prepare it for use yourself: the guys themselves sew shoulder straps, sleeve chevrons, insert the emblem into the collar lapel. They also polish boots to shine, iron the arrows on the trousers

Three days later, the main military ritual, the oath, is held in a solemn atmosphere. The oath is one of the most important and significant events in the life of every soldier, which makes him personally responsible for protecting his country.

Cadet weekdays

The daily life of a 1st year cadet, as well as of subsequent ones, follows the same daily routine: getting up, morning formation, exercises, in which future servicemen improve their physical fitness, morning toilet, formation for a morning examination, where the appearance is checked, breakfast, divorce for classes. Compulsory passage of a solemn march, where the cadets show their drill training and the coherence of the unit as a whole. Classes according to the curriculum, lunch, self-study, in which cadets prepare homework and repeat the charter, dinner.

In the evening, personal time is given when you can talk with relatives, girls, write a letter home, prepare the form for the next day.

The day ends with a formation for an evening test, during which the course staff and the list of persons permanently included in the lists who died the death of the brave are read out. Hang up.

Outfit

Without exception, all servicemen wear outfits. The outfit is assigned to maintain internal order, protect personnel, weapons, ammunition, military equipment, premises. And also to monitor the state of affairs in the unit and timely take measures to prevent offenses.

At the beginning of each month, a list of outfits is created, which indicates the dates on which this or that soldier goes to the outfit.

Outfits are external and internal. Internal outfit - on the course, external - patrolling.

Military partnership

“The military collective is a family! “Almost all of my service takes place in this family,” said the freshman. - Everyone helps each other in studies, sports and other activities. Today you helped him, and tomorrow he will help you. This is one big team, different from the study groups at the institute, which lives, breathes, interacts. "One for all and all for one!" - this is the motto of the military brotherhood. "

Dismissal

In high school, dismissal is not such a frequent occurrence. But if you have no comments on the service, on violation of the uniform, debts and unsatisfactory grades in subjects, then you have the right to receive a dismissal for a day. You can spend this time with your family, loved ones, friends, with your girlfriend. Leaving for the city and putting on a civilian uniform, a cadet should not forget about the status of a serviceman, about the rules of conduct in the city and military courtesy.

The life of a cadet is very diverse and full of bright events that are fundamentally different from the usual student life. The years of service in the academy cannot be described on paper, you cannot tell it you need to feel and feel yourself. Military ex-soldiers are never - it goes through our whole life. In the army, a guy becomes a man. A man, a defender of his Motherland, a defender of his relatives, his family, his future children.
