Geopathogenic zones: land against Tver. Tver Triangle Why we get sick

There are many mysterious places in the Tver region. Lake Brosno alone with the monster that lives in it is worth something.

Kimri Triangle

The famous triangle is located between the Kimrsky, Kalininsky and Rameshkovsky districts of the region.

Swampy and impassable areas spread over several hundred hectares. People are afraid of this area because inexplicable things have happened here more than once. It feels like this triangle is a magnet for UFOs. Being near this area, some begin to experience anxiety, unreasonable fear, and dizziness.

Route E-105

The section (two kilometers) of the highway near the village of Nikolskoye is the most dangerous.

Serious accidents involving casualties regularly occur there. Motorists try to be especially careful. Here, for unknown reasons, concentration and vigilance are involuntarily lost, and the collision occurs completely unexpectedly and inexplicably.

Staritsa caves

They are located on the two banks of the Volga upstream and downstream from the village of Molokovo to the village of Nizhny Spas along a 40 km waterway.

Since the 12th century, limestone or, as it was called, “oxbow marble”, has been mined from these quarries. There are many stories and legends associated with the caves. According to one of them, the library of Ivan the Terrible is hidden here. The air inside the cave has a beneficial effect: it can cure infectious and colds, as well as put thoughts in order.

Not all of them, of course, but only those located near Novaya Orsha.

There are legends that people have repeatedly disappeared in these swamps, even those who knew their way around this area perfectly. Some unknown force prevented them from reaching home and led them astray. And after such wanderings, strange noises in the ears and visions arose that did not go away for a long time.

Abandoned house

In the cottage village in Zatverechye there is an abandoned house that has a bad reputation.

According to legend, a brutal murder took place in this house, and the criminals were never punished. Since then, a ghost has been seen here many times, terrifying anyone who crosses the threshold. This house is not suitable for living, and if a person settles in it, then disaster is inevitable. At night you can hear someone creaking and howling in the cottage. And visitors to the house try to leave it as soon as possible, complaining of a lack of oxygen and shortness of breath.

Kun zone

Located nearby railway station Kunya, Tver region.

Strange things happen in this zone. For example, here, in the same place, lightning constantly strikes. Near Kunya there is a forest that locals try not to go into. It is believed that hereditary witches live in the surrounding villages. And the bites of forest mosquitoes do not heal for a very long time and cause terrible itching.

Mound "Rodnya"

The legendary hill is located in the village of Rodnya, 20 km from Staritsa.

The mound has been surrounded by an aura of mystery since ancient times. Legend has it that untold riches are hidden in the mound. But people never tried to get them, because the mound was considered a cursed place. In former times the mountain was bald, but now it is overgrown coniferous forest. They try not to enter the forest unnecessarily, since it has a bad reputation and contributes to nightmares.

Dokuchaevsky forest

It is located next to Lake Brosno in the Tver region.

Legend has it that flying saucers have landed here more than once and aliens communicated with people, after which they acquired superpowers such as clairvoyance and healing. And at night, strange sounds are heard in the forest, not similar to the cry of ordinary animals.

_* From time immemorial it has been known that there are places on earth where living is associated with the acquisition of some kind of ill health. When these places are found in villages remote from the centers of civilization, their presence is usually associated with supernatural, otherworldly forces.*_

We once rented, about 30 years ago, a dacha in a village 20 kilometers from Tver. In this village there was a house in which its inhabitants were constantly sick and dying. After several families, with old people and children, died there one after another, the house was abandoned, and somehow it very quickly fell apart and went into the ground.

It was obvious to the villagers that everything that happened was caused by the action of evil spirits, and the sinking of the house into the ground served as additional proof of this.

In 1995, St. Petersburg scientists E.K. Melnikov and V.A. The mine carried out a study of this type of territory in several areas northern capital. The search for the territory was carried out using medical statistics. Namely: based on a study of outpatient cards in clinics, houses were identified in which life expectancy was significantly less than the statistical average, and morbidity was higher. Moreover, it turned out that a particular increase in morbidity was noted for cancer and coronary heart disease. Then a comparison was made between the types of plants that grew near houses with increased incidence and near other houses, a comparison based on radon levels, and also a comparison based on the readings of psychics.

As botanists have noticed, the type of vegetation on lawns in geopathogenic zones differs from those plants that grow outside these zones. The radon content also turned out to be significantly higher in these zones than outside them.

All geopathogenic zones, identified by very extensive efforts of scientists of various qualifications, turned out to be confined to zones of tectonic disturbances. They are the object of attention of geologists insofar as the soil within these zones has a reduced bearing capacity, or, in other words, increased compliance, which leads to increased penetration of structures into the ground.

Due to the increased permeability of rocks and soil, deep gases come to the surface through deep tectonic cracks, which, in fact, create the effect of geopathogenicity.

It is known that some gases can be pathogenic. In different regions, the composition of deep gases may vary, and in accordance with this, the impact of geopathogenic zones is also varied. Thus, in Yekaterinburg, only 4 cases of one rare type of Down syndrome have been recorded, and 3 of those identified live in the same house.

Due to the increased permeability of rocks and soil, zones of tectonic disturbance are of interest if it is necessary to drill a well for water. Thus, we have an example when the same object has both positive and negative properties.

Unfortunately, the geopathogenic zone has become the object of speculation by a considerable number of pseudo-scientific swindlers. So, a sort of convincing psychic may come to your house and, by moving his hands, and perhaps even the frame with which the dowsers work, he will tell you that your home (or place of work) is under the influence of a geopathogenic zone. Having described in vivid colors what threatens you, he will, so be it, agree to help you. After this, an intelligent-looking man will come from him and, according to the Master’s instructions, will nail pieces of copper wire to the walls.

However, this is not the end of the story. Somewhere in a year, the same specialist will come to see you “quite by chance.” Upon entering your home, he will delightfully note how lucky you are that your room is absolutely free of the slightest geopathogenicity. And only after you show him the pieces of wire, he will hardly begin to remember that he has already been here. This is image work.

Where do anomalous zones come from?

Modern researchers divide all energy anomalies into several groups: geopathogenic zones themselves, caused by geological faults and tectonic processes earth's crust, ore deposits, groundwater, dumps, boreholes, pipelines, etc.; technogenic zones caused by human production activities and the widespread use of electromagnetic energy; field formations of various nature in the form of networks and spots. These groups are a significant component of our living environment and also actively influence our health.

Geopathogenic zones in Tver

Many areas of our city are located in zones of increased geopathogenic danger. Our ancestors understood this and therefore did not build houses there. Some places stood undeveloped for almost a thousand years of the city's history.

Basically, Tver geopathogenic zones are filled-in swamps and river beds. Thus, on the site of an ancient river with a cascade of ponds, a new residential complex was built next to the Yunost Hotel on Komsomolsky Prospekt. The direct exit of the former river to Tvertsa is blocked by the regional administration dormitory building. The houses on Ozernaya Street, which back in the 80s was famous for its swampy lakes, are very dangerous. The Yunost microdistrict, for the most part, is also located in the area of former swamps.

The plan for the construction of a new microdistrict “East Bridge” in the Volga floodplain area is surprising. The flooded area of not just a small river, but of a great Russian river is three times dangerous. This can be seen in the example of the elite Park Hotel, which is already being forced to be saved from sliding into the Volga by adding more and more sand.

However, in Tver there have been cases of classic houses going underground in the zone of tectonic faults. So, just recently a house collapsed in the very center, next to the academic drama theater.

The influence of geopathogenic zones on human health

The negative impact of geopathogenic zones (GPZ) on human health has been identified a long time ago. Many scientists have found that the sleeping places of people with cancer, mental and chronic diseases that cannot be treated were located at the intersections of pathogenic zones (moving the beds usually led to recovery); data were presented on the connection with ILI of many diseases (multiple sclerosis, arthritis, cardiovascular and oncological diseases), as well as cases of deterioration in health, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, etc.

Effect on animals and plants

ILIs negatively affect not only people, but also animals and plants. Above underground water flows, birch, linden and most coniferous trees become sick: growths appear, the number of ugly forms sharply increases (for example, in the form of bifurcated trunks - dichotomy). Trees growing in the GPZ, especially apple trees, are characterized by earlier yellowing and falling leaves; plums and pears wither and dry out. In the GPZ, trees are more often struck by lightning strikes, forming entire “lightning valleys”.

Means of protection

The fight against ILI relies on the use of special methods and means. All proposed methods of protection against GPZ can be divided into: neutralizing radiation and directly leaving the zone of influence. In turn, neutralizing methods can be divided into: absorbent materials (felt, cardboard, wax); reflective and deflecting devices (grids, rings, pins, mirrors, natural and artificial screens); catching devices (pyramids, cones, antennas); generators and modulators acting on radiation.

Despite the variety of methods and measures of protection from earth radiation, the simplest, most accessible and reliable way is to keep a person outside the geopathogenic zone.

On the territory of the Tver region there is a zone no less dangerous than the famous Bermuda Triangle.

DISASTER IN THE TRIANGLE: In the spring of 2009, the vice-president of MDM Bank Bronislav Ermak and a passenger on board a sports plane died. Some experts believe that the reason is geographical point tragedy. The crash of a private light aircraft SP-2008 (an improved Yak-52) occurred not far from Tver, near the Volzhanka tourist center. During a training flight, the engine failed, the pilot landed the plane on the runway, drove through it, broke through the mesh fence, rolled into the Volga and turned over with the cabin down. The commander and co-pilot Alexander Ludanov were killed. This happened in the area of the village of Yuryevskoye Kablukovsky rural settlement Kalininsky district. It is there, on the border of the Rameshkovsky, Kimry and Kalininsky districts, that the territory known as the geomagnetic anomalous zone is located. ©site

PIN: In the triangle zone in 2004, on a country road, Tver resident Nikolai N. filmed his daughter with an amateur video camera. During filming, something strange caught my attention. He suddenly experienced a feeling of inexplicable anxiety and restlessness. There was a moment when I even wanted to throw the camera and run. “I still can’t understand what made me turn the camera lens in that direction at that moment. Then I thought I heard some strange sound. The battery was dead, I inserted a new one. And that’s when I saw this pin in the viewfinder.” A pin is an oblong object 15-20 cm long, rotating around its axis. He appears (and this is clearly visible on the recording) from the surface of a country road, “walked” back and forth several times and disappeared. Judging by the video, the road soil did not pose an obstacle. The object silently cut through him. A 73 second video recording of the pin's appearance was made.

Video frame with a pin.

MILITARY VERSION: A few months later, excavations began on a section of that country road and on the side of the road. But this did not produce results. The places where these images were filmed were once military installations. Perhaps there was a closed training ground where bombing took place. What we managed to film represents a military product that remained at the training ground. But what product can maintain its performance for decades without repair work? The ability to easily move underground without leaving traces also raises doubts. ©site

UFO VERSION: Those who saw the recording claim that the pin that appeared looks like an antenna or something like a periscope. Perhaps the object is part of a hidden device with the help of which another highly developed civilization carries out surveillance. Residents of the Tver Triangle claim that they have repeatedly seen flying objects. They were observed in the sky over the villages of Molodi and Lebzunovo, Kimry district, in the area of the villages of Voloskovo and Starovo, Rameshkovo district. And also multiple luminous objects were observed in the area of Lake Velikoye. The configuration of the objects was different: from triangular to amorphous-spherical. The glow emanating from the objects ranged from a rich, bright red to a subtle greenish-blue. Several residents claim that the UFO rose straight up from the Ursa River.

Area maps

A PILOT'S STORY: A retired pilot, 1st class pilot, tells the story: “I myself made a huge number of sorties in the Tver region. But what happened to me on the border of three districts (Rameshkovsky, Kimry and Kalininsky), I did not observe anywhere else. Subsequently, by the sound of the engine alone, I recognized that we were flying over the “triangle” - the engine began to act up and I could hear knocking. Sometimes the needles on the instruments twitched and began to rotate randomly. This sometimes happens due to deposits of magnetic ore. But what kind of ore is there in the Kalininsky region? A couple of times, flying over Kablukovo, I saw bright orange fireballs the size of a soccer ball. They were approaching the cabin itself (flying after each other, as if they were playing). Much more worrying was the cloudiness I found myself in.” ©site

STATISTICS: “The boundaries of the anomalous triangle are difficult to determine. Moreover, the instruments malfunctioning above him could well have led to a crash in another part of the area. Tragedies occurred especially often in the Kimry region. In June 2003, a Mi-2 helicopter crashed near the village of Novoe Selo, with 3 people on board. The reason is engine failure. In 2006, three plane crashes occurred in the Kimry region: in March, June and July. In all cases, the participants involved light aircraft.” Experts say: it is precisely such light air vehicles that often turn out to be “victims” of inexplicable anomalous phenomena.

SWAMPS OF THE ANDREAPOL DISTRICT - see "Oil swamp".
BLACK SWAMP - see “Black Swamp (Rzhevskoe)”.
CITY OF KITEZH - see “Kitezh (Kitezh-grad, Kidish)”.
KUN ZONE - a possible anomalous zone near the Kunya railway station, where
frequent lightning strikes in one place. Near Kunya there is a forest that locals try not to go into. They also say that active hereditary witches live in the surrounding villages. However, in 2006, a group audit
Nazyvaevsk-Kosmopoisk later denied all these rumors.

KURGAN RODNYA is a legendary hill of regular shape, possibly of artificial origin, in the south of the Tver region.
The mound itself has been known to local residents since time immemorial - it is difficult not to pay attention to it, since it is the only hill in the middle of the fields. Residents of the former merchant town of Rodnya created legends about the existence of treasures in the mound,
but they did not encroach on them, since the place was considered “sworn”. IN Soviet time Residents of Rodney wrote letters to the USSR Academy of Sciences about the need to conduct excavations in this area, but such research was never carried out. In 1930-40, the NKVD detachment was stationed here to search for prisoners who had escaped from the nearby zone. As the old-timers say, in former times the mountain was bald, but now it is overgrown with coniferous forest. They try not to enter the forest on the hill unnecessarily, since it has a bad reputation. In 1993-2001, Kosmopoisk member A. Safronov collected information about history; since 2001, Kosmopoisk teams began
comprehensive studies of the mound and surrounding area.
* * * Directions to the mound in Rodna. From Staritsa take the highway
"Staritsa-Rodnya", not far from Rodnya to the left of the road (on the right is the Volga)
immediately beyond the fields you will see a large hill covered with forest. It is advisable to carry out research jointly or in coordination with Cosmopoisk.

SELIGERSKY BURGANS - burial places of Krivichi people who mixed with the local Finno-Ugric population (10th-11th centuries), cremations and corpses with weapons, jewelry, and horses were found here.

DOKUCHAEV FOREST is an anomalous place near Lake Brosno, Tver Region. In the early 1980s, in the Kalinin (Tver) region, according to rumors, circles appeared in a clearing in the forest near Lake Brosno. In May 2002, during the Kosmopoisk expedition No. 116-g, local residents were interviewed. It turned out that in the 1980s, a strange luminous object was noticed above the Dokuchaevsky forest (on the opposite shore of Lake Brosno from the village). After this, the old-timers noticed that in the forest on the hill the alders and birches began to dry out, and “burnt circles” appeared on the grass. Near Dokuchaev forest for a long time in 2002 there was a Cosmopoisk camp; no anomalies were observed over the forest during this period.

MIKHALEVO MEGALITHS - ancient megaliths, which, according to legend, are located in swampy forests south of Mikhalevo. In 2006-2007, member of Kosmopoisk N. Chasovnikov tried to find the megaliths.

BRIDGE OF BOULDERS (Bridge in Torzhok) is a unique engineering structure of the 18th century in the center of the Tver region, the secrets of its construction have remained unsolved. In 1751 this amazing bridge across the Tvertsa River, the creations of the architect Nikolai LVOV were built from several thousand huge boulders and the technology, the sequence of its construction, was forgotten.
In 1999, when one of the five spans collapsed, almost 900 thousand rubles had to be found from the federal and regional budgets for emergency restoration of the bridge. Only the secrets of the bridge remained unsolved during the restoration work.
Experts say that even if there is modern technology it is impossible to build something like this, this structure does not lend itself to any engineering calculations [Versty, 2000, November 28]. We can only hope that the bridge's operators will no longer allow it to be overloaded.

The Kuzmolovskoye tract is located in the Valdai Upland region. All around are dense forests, to the nearest settlement- at least 20 kilometers. On October 19, 2007, local forester Mikhail Chumakov went to the tract to inspect the area, which, after a big fire, it was decided to be used for logging: the tops of the pines were burned, but the trunks remained, the tree should not be lost!

Here is the forester's story:

“I mean, I’m walking along the path, and then my dog Karym scared the little hare and drove him towards the swamp.” Well, I realized that he would run back from there, and went towards the clearing visible behind the trees, where, according to my calculations, Karym would drive the scythe out. I stood at the edge of the clearing and waited. I hear Karym’s barking approaching. I prepared my gun, and then the hare jumped out into the clearing, followed by Karym. I took aim - and suddenly, before my eyes, the hare seemed to disappear into thin air! Karym also stopped and looked around - what miracles! And he runs towards me with a guilty face. Quietly like that. And imagine this picture: how the dog’s head and body disappear in slow motion...

The hair on my head started to stand out from fear. I’m standing, but I’m afraid to come closer. I recovered a little, took a stick and threw it at the place where Karym evaporated. The stick did not reach the ground about two meters and disappeared. And then the rain began to drizzle, I looked more closely and saw that a perfect circle with a diameter of five meters and a height of approximately human height was drawn in the rain. Or rather, how can I say this, there is no rain in this circle...

Karym disappeared without a trace, and Mikhail, shocked and frightened, returned home.

Rumors that mysterious creatures live not only in Brosno, but also in Lake Seliger first appeared in 2000. Strange relict animals with long necks and tails have been reported. All eyewitnesses claimed that the heads of the monsters were small compared to their massive bodies, and the limbs were described as “flipper-like.” In the press they even received the name “Selizhasaurs” - after the Selizharovsky reach, where they were first seen. Some publications claimed that most often the creatures crawled ashore near the village of Pavlikha and even on the road from Pavlikha to Klimovaya Mountain. And last year, in the summer, Moscow tourists encountered a “Selizhasaurus” - it happened in the area of the “Devil’s Gate”. This is the name of the deepest place on Seliger between the islands of Klichen and Gorodomlya. According to eyewitnesses, something huge rose to the surface, resembling the back of a whale. As soon as it disappeared under the water again, huge waves rose. It was a windless day then...
And just recently, the back of an unknown animal that surfaced in the Klichen area was again seen by several people at once. It turns out that the question of the existence of unknown animals in the lakes of the Tver region is not yet closed?

Of glacial origin in the Tver and Novgorod regions of Russia. Witnesses claim that in the Seliger lake system there lives a monster that is strikingly similar to the famous Scottish Nessie. He was seen back in mid-19th century, for which there is documentary evidence - a letter dated August 1854 has been preserved in the archives of the city of Tver. The letter says the following: “In the deep parts of the Seliger lake system, or perhaps only in the imagination of people, lives a monster of enormous size...”
Moreover, in 1996, one of the local residents, an elderly woman, noticed some unusual large object in the water of the lake, which she initially mistook for a log. But, looking closer, she saw a huge scaly head with a single eye. The creature resembled both a fish and a snake at the same time.
Another young witness, a 7-year-old boy from a tourist camp located on the shores of Lake Selinger, ran to his parents, loudly saying that he had seen a real dragon in the water. The adults immediately ran to the shore with a camera. A single photograph of the “monster” was taken, which later circulated in all local newspapers. The photo shows just a panorama of the lake with a dark object floating in the foreground, but unfortunately its details are difficult to see. Soon other eyewitnesses were found, and with their help it was possible to create an approximate portrait of the “Selinger Nessie”: it looked like a toothy reptile about 5 m long.
Then a group of Moscow journalists arrived at the lake in the hope of filming the amazing animal. But they were never able to find any trace of the monster. However, scientists who have attempted to study the phenomenon believe that research should be continued. In those places, there have been rumors for many years about an unknown monster that from time to time floats to the surface of the lake. Many old-timers saw it with their own eyes. There is now real panic among the population of the surrounding villages - people are afraid that the animal will come out of the water and crawl into their houses...
Each theory is fraught with many more questions and mysteries, giving rise to new ones. The only thing that is true is that monsters go into the depths, sensing the approach of a person, leaving only diverging circles on the surface...

Nepriye village, the narrowest place

SELIGER - UFO - reality?
It was dark and quiet. Only the camera shutters were clicking and the palisade of the forest on the other side of the lake was faintly glowing with crimson. And from this it seemed that the darkness was as deep as the eye could see, and the silence was dead. The plate was rushing across the sky, so quickly that I did not have time to follow it. And then - once! - and disappeared.
Many people know about Seliger, but it’s good that not everyone knows about it. There’s no crowd there even now. For example, my friends and I, in search of at least relative solitude, every year we climb further and further, further north. So last summer we went all the way to Polnovsky Reach. Behind the village of Gorodets they found a field, found an approach to the water, set up tents - and began to live.
Oh, Seliger! As one monk from the Nilova Hermitage once told me (this is a monastery on Stolbny Island, named in honor of the Monk Nile, once the second largest in the number of pilgrims in Holy Rus'): the Lord kissed this place on the crown! I liked the monastic words, even very much, because I agree with them. Otherwise I would go to these kissing places year after year...
They also say that these lands are mystical. And I agree with this. They attract! Some people are just happy there - picking mushrooms in season, catching fish out of season, taking a walk, sitting by the fire. And for some, the treasure of Khan Batu attracts... They say that in one of the lakes there he drowned all the Horde silver, because otherwise he would have perished in the Russian snows, with such and such a load. And this year I became convinced that not only people are lured. An alien entity too. We were already getting ready to leave, or rather, the next day by noon we decided to pack up and go to Moscow. The day before, of course, they had a feast on the mountain. According to all the rules. With freshly caught fish soup, with vodka...

There's nothing to pretend about here. When before leaving, yes under the ear, yes on clean air... Drinks well! Easily.
That's how we stayed until midnight on the last day of July - easy! And when August came, its first minutes, then it began... Someone gasped (my friend, the owner of a chain of toy stores, a serious businessman), someone squealed (his wife), someone gasped (my friend and my friend’s brother , an exporter of hydrocarbons), someone squeaked in unison (his wife and my wife), as for me, I swallowed my tongue. Drinking helped a lot. The plate was spinning above us. She flew around, winking with white lights all around.
The guys rushed for cameras, and I seemed to be riveted to the spot, probably, and the drink contributed to this. Then it turned out that they managed to take six frames per circle. Four are hydrocarbon exporters, two are toy tycoons (I’m talking about their status to show that they are respectable people, not some kind of helipads, jokers).
And the flying saucer flashed a white necklace - and disappeared, as if it had never existed. But it was! Here's the proof! Pictures.
True, they later tried to catch me: they say it’s a scam, photoshop. I answered: whoever finds traces of Photoshop will receive 100 thousand! They also said: this is a gas burner reflected in the window glass. Yeah, but where is the glass in the tent? In short, there is no answer.
Some questions - from me and from my friends. We know only one answer - to the question of whether we will go next year. Let's go! You can't scare us with saucers, even flying ones.

Despite the fact that miracles are a one-off thing, they are, by and large, everywhere. Sometimes they, miracles, are next to us, and it often depends on us whether we meet them or not. Let's take a little break from our daily affairs and take a closer look at the map of the Tver region. I assure you that real discoveries await us, which will allow us to come into contact with real miracles.

And where else, if not on the ancient land of Tver, can miracles happen? Here, among the epic forests, near the sources of the great rivers, on the border of the Great Divide, almost a thousand years ago, the foundations of Russian national statehood were laid, which over time took the form of the Great Tver Principality with its own dynasty, the Tver school of painting and philosophical school, with its own architectural style.

Here is just one, but very characteristic detail - the mother of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Jogaila, who later became the founder of the Polish royal Jagiellon dynasty, and they were just a Tver princess... And one can only guess how many more mysteries this one holds ancient land, although from what is known we can make our own list of seven wonders.

The first miracle that we can see in the Tver region is located very close to the federal highway “Russia” (Moscow-St. Petersburg) at 137 km. You just need not to miss one of the most ancient Tver villages - Gorodnya (Konakovsky district). It is here, on the steep Volga bank, surrounded by a deep ditch, across which a boulder bridge is thrown, stands Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. This is not only the oldest operating Tver temple, but the only surviving architectural monument of the Great Tver Principality.

The church was built in end of the 14th century century in memory of the victory of Russian weapons on the Kulikovo log site, where the ancient Russian city of Vertyazin once was. Here is how Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky wrote about this city in 1856: “There were five monasteries in Vertyazin and near it: Petrovsky in the city, Zlatoust on the right bank of the Volga, opposite the current hotel, Trinity in two and a half versts, Aleksandrovsky in 1.5 versts from the church on the road to Tver, on the right side of the highway, and Nikolaevsky sand (Vidogodsky identity) opposite the church on the other side of the Volga. All the monasteries and churches, with the exception of one, were destroyed during the Lithuanian invasion, and the city itself even lost its name.”

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary still resembles a small fortress in its entire appearance. Everything here is wonderful: the view of the Volga, the temple itself, and the fact that over these six-plus centuries it has not only been preserved, but has never been closed...

After Gorodnya we will continue our journey to Tver along the M9 highway, where we will turn right, cross one of the Tver bridges to the left bank of the Volga, and then begin to climb strictly north along the Tver-Bezhetsk highway. So, we are heading towards a miracle, which, without any doubt, will occupy an honorable place on our list.

And the road itself to our next destination deserves at least a few words to be said about it. At the 53rd kilometer of the route you need to turn towards Maksatikha. So along the old Bezhetsky tract you will soon find yourself in the village of Rameshki, one of centers of compact residence of Karelians in the Tver region. And after another 50 or so kilometers there will be another Karelian center - the village of Maksatikha. In the 30s of the 19th century, Fyodor Nikolaevich Glinka wrote his work “On Antiquities in Tver Karelia” about these regions. He himself was associated with the Tver land for almost half a century, having married Avdotya Pavlovna Golenishcheva-Kutuzova, a distant relative of the great commander. The Golenishchev-Kutuzovs had an estate in these places called Kuznetsovo, from which an impressive temple complex remains today.

Today, few people know that here, on Tver land, Karelians have been living side by side with Russians for many years. Karelians (self-name - Karjala, Karyalan), one of the Finno-Ugric tribes. The first information about the resettlement of Karelians to the Upper Volga dates back to 1553. The resettlement of Karelians took on a massive nature after the signing of the Treaty of Stolbovo with Sweden (1617) between Russia and Sweden, according to which part of Karelia went to Sweden. Karelians, fleeing national and religious oppression and persecution, moved to depopulated areas after the oprichnina robbery in the second half of the 16th century. and the events of the Time of Troubles at the beginning of the 17th century. lands of the Tver region. Here they were given certain benefits. The last wave of resettlement of Karelians to the Tver region dates back to 1720, when Karelia, according to the Treaty of Nystad (1721), went to Russia. In 1926, there were 140.6 thousand Karelians in the region. In 1937, by decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, the Karelian National District was formed within the borders of the Kalinin region with its center in the city of Likhoslavl, which existed until 1939.

Tver Karelians were mentioned in basic research“Ethnogenesis and the Biosphere of the Earth” by the famous philosopher Lev Nikolaevich Gumilev: “Karel from the Tver province in his village called himself a Karelian, and when he came to study in Moscow, he called himself Russian, because in the village the opposition of Karelians to Russians mattered, but in the city it did not, so how the differences in everyday life and culture are so insignificant that they disappear.”

From here, from Maksatikha, our path lies towards one of the most remote corners of the Tver region - the Lesnoy district, but at 25 km do not miss the right turn, where there is a sign “Collective farm “Truzhenik” (Maksatikha district). This means that we are almost there, because this place used to be called “Nikolo-Terebenskaya Hermitage”. There was so much that was missing from the monastery during Soviet times, and the result was complete desolation.

But today many people already know about this monastery. The fact is that immediately after the monastery was returned to the believers in 1990, and as soon as services resumed, in St. Nicholas Cathedral, its old frescoes also began to renew themselves, and even where the plaster on which these frescoes had previously been lost was lost.

Every year more and more pilgrims come to the ancient monastery, including in order to have the opportunity to contemplate a real miracle - the self-renewing frescoes of the Nikolo-Terebenskaya Hermitage.

Among the attractions of the monastery, the eye of any traveler will be attracted by the church St. Alexander Svirsky, which the builders for some reason lowered below ground level and therefore can only be entered through the bell tower. In distant Ethiopia, an entire sacred church was built from similar churches. city-city Lalibela...

The third Tver miracle is located at the Shirkov Pogost, located on the eastern shore of Lake Vselug (Penovsky district) - one of the four Upper Volga lakes, into which the Volga flows as a small river and flows out as a deep river. It's been here for four centuries now wooden church of John the Baptist, built in 1697. The structure of the church is multi-tiered; the temple consists of three quadrangles placed on top of each other, decreasing with height and covered with an eight-slope roof. At the base of the church there are huge boulders. According to legend, the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist was built on the spot where Alexander Nevsky’s regiments defeated the Lithuanians in 1245.

But the most wonderful thing is the height of the church - 45 meters with a cross, which is significantly higher than the famous Transfiguration Church in Kizhi (37 m). Many experts express the opinion that this is one of the tallest religious buildings in Russia built of wood, but our church is significantly lower than the wooden Orthodox church from the Romanian village of Birsan (1711, 63 m.)

You can get here from both federal highways that cross the Tver region. From the M-10 “Russia” highway, this can be done by turning in Torzhok to the city of Ostashkov, and then to the village of Peno. Before reaching Peno, do not miss the sign for Shikrov Pogost and turn right. From the M-9 “Baltia” highway you need to turn onto Andreapol and Peno, and then there will be a turn to Shirkov Pogost, but, accordingly, on the left.

The next three Tver miracles are associated with the water resources of the Tver region, which are truly impressive. In total, there are 760 rivers in the region with a length of more than 10 km, and 21 more than 100 km. These are: Darkness, Medveditsa, Tvertsa, Mologa, Shosha, etc. There are more than 1,700 lakes in the region, the largest and most famous of which is the pearl of Central Russia - Lake Seliger, as well as the Upper Volga lakes - Peno, Vselug, Volgo, Sterzh... In addition to natural ones reservoirs on many rivers there are reservoirs: Ivankovskoye, Rybinsk, Uglichskoye on the Volga; Vazuzskoye on Vazuza; Vyshnevolotskoe on Tsna.

But of course main river not only the Tver land, but also Russia remains the Volga. A the source of the Volga is a real miracle, which was lost in the endless expanses of Tver. And more precisely in the village of Vogoverkhovye, 18 km. from the village of Svapusche, located on the western coast of Lake Seliger. Here even a child can...step over the Volga. The Volga runs through Tver land for its first 685 km, receiving 150 tributaries on its way. More than two-thirds of the region's area belongs to the Volga basin, which is why the region itself is often called the “Land of Source”. It goes around the entire region from west to east, as if forming a kind of bowl, or rather a ladle. Every year at the very end of May, a unique in all respects event takes place here - the illumination of the source of the Volga by the hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church.

This is where the beginning began

This is where the beginning began.
This is the heart of Russia -
At the source of the river,
Where are the chapels, the cross.
The Volga flows peacefully,
Filled with strength
And absorbs
The beauty of these places.

And if you decide to kneel before the Volga source, then on the way back you have a great opportunity to come into contact with another miracle - Holy Okovetsky key(Selizharovsky district). To do this, you need to turn right from the Ostashkov-Tver highway to Selizharovo, Rzhev. And from the village of Selizharovo you need to drive another 25 km to the village of Okovtsy. Remember, as it is said in the “Tale of Bygone Years”: “The Dnieper flows from the Okovsky forest and flows to the south. The Dvina flows out of the same forest and flows north. From the same forest the Volga flows to the east...” And where, if not in epic places, can a real miracle be found?

Transparent, clean water flows from the source, its qualities comparable to glacial melt water. No one knows how many centuries this spring has existed, but legend says that even the ancient magicians performed sacraments and rituals near its waters. For Orthodox people, the source began to be considered holy after the discovery in these places in 1539 of an icon of the Mother of God with the Eternal Child on her left hand and the future Saint Nicholas. This icon is called the Okovets (or also Rzhev) Mother of God. Today there are three fonts here, into which you need to plunge headlong, each time crossing yourself. The water temperature in winter and summer is always the same, approximately +5 degrees. But, despite this, there are always many people who want to take a dip, because they are all hungry for a miraculous healing from their ailments. And holy water definitely helps someone.

The next miracle is also connected with water, or rather, it lives there - this monster of Lake Brosno, located in the Andrenapol district in the west of the region, certainly occupies a special place. The path to the lake is not easy. Returning from the source of the Volga, you need to turn onto the highway leading to Peno and Andreapol, and in Andreapol turn right onto the road leading to the village of Toropatsa. From the collected descriptions, we can conclude that this is most likely home to a miraculously preserved waterfowl dinosaur, to which local residents gave the name “Brosni,” or perhaps a family of dinosaurs.

In general, the Tver region is rich in lakes. In total, there are 1,769 lakes with a water area of more than one hectare, among which there are real mystery lakes. And one of them is Lake Brosno. “Lakes Dolosets, Brosno, Dolgoe and some others have an interesting origin. They occupy deep “pits” formed as a result of the erosive action of melted glacial water” (“Geography of the Tver Region” Tver, 1992)

One more distinctive feature Some lakes, including Lake Brosno, are home to herring. Glacial origin, great depth, presence, according to local residents, rare fish in these places, as well as numerous eyewitness accounts - all this suggests that Lake Brosno may well keep a secret...

So we have visited almost all the Tver miracles, the last one remains - the seventh. It is located in close proximity to Staritsa - one of the most beautiful ancient Russian cities. Remember how medieval Rus' is sometimes called “white stone”, due to the fact that limestone was widely used for construction at that time. White-stone architectural masterpieces have been preserved in Staritsa and its surroundings - these are the buildings of the Holy Dormition Monastery, which celebrated its 900th anniversary in 2011, the Pyatnitskaya Church, the Staritsa forges, and much more.

But our conversation will not be about them, but about old caves, or rather quarries, which were formed as a result of industrial mining since the 14th century along the banks of the Volga of limestone, or as it is called here “old man marble”.

“Taking out block after block, the stonemasons expanded the passages into halls, the area of which sometimes reached a hundred square meters. If the layer unexpectedly broke off or went to the side, the craftsmen continued to advance after it. Total length some workings sometimes reached several kilometers. Thus, a developed system of quarries, colloquially called caves, was formed for tens of kilometers along the Volga” (Alexander Shitkov, “Staritsky White Stone Pages.” Staritsa, 2006)

The mined stone was launched and transported along the Volga to various parts of Russia. As a result, many kilometers of caves were formed from numerous labyrinth systems. This is a real paradise for speleologists. There is everything found in natural caves, including stalactites and stalagmites. Even on the hottest summer days, the temperature here does not reach 10 degrees. Staritsa stone was used not only as construction material, but also went into the production of building lime. In the mid-40s, by personal order of Stalin, all entrances were blown up...

Staritsky Volga region is considered a pearl geological structure European part of Russia. Deep erosional sections of the Volga and its numerous tributaries, canyon-like ravines exposed ancient rocks to a depth of 50 m, creating natural outcrops of amazing beauty and clarity. But today, the old caves, unfortunately, have not acquired any official status. It just so happens that the current federal legislation does not include such objects.

And if there is no status, then it is not possible to carry out work on tourist development. It’s a pity, because there is no shortage of people who want to visit them. By the way, on the website “Wonders of Russia” there is a special page dedicated to the old caves.
