In the process of studying English with my child, I tried many ways to improve the memorization of English words, and one of the most effective was the Lotto game in English. Words are memorized easily and with pleasure. I started looking for lotto in English on other topics, but it turned out that the market is not replete with varieties of this wonderful game. So I made my own version of the lotto in English and printed it out. Below I post it, it is free for download.

In my loto, I used the vocabulary of the topics "household appliances", "useful things", "dishes" and "furniture", a total of 84 words.

Lotto rules in English:

You can even play lotto together with a child. To make it more fun, invite a few dolls to the game. My daughter is always rooting for her favorite doll and is in a hurry to find out if she has a voiced item on the playing field.

So, the presenter takes the card and, without showing the image to the children, asks: Who has kettle / lid / fork? Who will be the first to say I have kettle / lid / fork, or Doll has kettle / lid / fork, he takes the card and closes the found object with it. For English lessons with toddlers in kindergarten(see, for example, ) you will need a loto with the image of various animals, namely: squirrel, deer, bird, wolf, fox, owl, hedgehog, bear, hare, raccoon, cow, horse, pig, sheep, goat, rooster, chicken, chicken, duck, cat, dog, guinea pig (or rat), parrot, fish. In subsequent lessons, the loto can be "expanded" by adding new cards as you progress through a particular topic ("Family", "Home", "Toys", etc.).

The cards intended for English lessons are larger than in regular lotto. Depending on the age of the children and the volume of the vocabulary they are assimilating, you can think for yourself what the optimal number of pictures should be on each card (from 4 or more). You can arrange pictures in one row (in my lessons I used just such cards) or in two rows. Too many pictures on the card, in my opinion, are inappropriate to make, so as not to prolong the game too much. You can always give the children, for example, two cards in one row.

So, buy a set of cardboard (white or colored - at your discretion). Each card will be equal in size to an A4 sheet of cardboard cut along the length (you can, of course, make them larger or smaller, but, in my opinion, this one is optimal). Now you need the same pictures of animals, the names of which you passed with the children. Where can I find such pictures? Once I sat and drew them myself, or I cut out silhouettes of animals from colored paper and pasted them on cards, spending a lot of time on this. Basically, you can use this method. Another way is to use websites that offer coloring pages for children or simply pictures. We type in a search engine, for example, "guinea pig, coloring" or"Hedgehog, picture (drawing)» , find the picture, reduce it to the desired size. If you have a color printer - great, if not - you can just print the coloring and then color the picture by hand. Calculate how many pictures you need. For example, each card has 4 pictures, you are going to make 10 cards, which means that you will need 40 pictures in total. Pictures are carefully cut and pasted onto cardboard.

Consider the following points when sticking pictures:

the number of pictures with the image of the same animal can be any, you can make, for example, 3 dogs, 5 cats, 6 guinea pigs, if only the total number of pictures is 4 times more than the cards (in our case, there should be 40 ).
images of animals should not be repeated on one card
it is desirable that there are no absolutely identical cards

After you prepare large cards and glue pictures with images of animals on them (separating them with a line), make 40 small cards from colored cardboard, so that each can completely cover the image of one animal. (Children will cover pictures on large cards with small cards when they hear the name of an animal and find its image on their large card).

You will also need separate pictures of the same animals that are depicted on the large lotto cards (one picture with the image of each animal). Children will pull these pictures out of a special bag. They can be replaced partially or completely with toys.

Have they counted, cut out, glued everything? Lotto for an English lesson in kindergarten is ready! In an English class, give each child one (or two) large cards and four (or eight) small cards. The teacher (or the children themselves take turns)) draws pictures with images of animals, people, objects (or similar toys) from the bag. The presenter loudly names in English the object depicted in the picture, the children cover pictures with small cards depicting the desired object, a human animal, if they have them on a large card.
