The curse of the purple line of the Moscow metro. Radial: this is which branch, which means and where is Tagansko Krasnopresnenskaya line color

As a result of the fall onto the rails, the passenger died on the spot from his injuries. At the moment, the identity of the victim has not been established. Investigators have to find out if there was an accident or suicide.

ON THIS TOPIC

Due to the tragic incident, the movement of trains on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line was delayed. While the body of the deceased was being taken out, a huge number of people accumulated on the platform.

Meanwhile, the next tragic incident at the Vykhino station can no longer be called accidental. Emergencies at this and other stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line have occurred not for the first time. site remember the loudest of them.

Three times in one funnel

On the morning of July 8, 2016, a fire broke out at the Vykhino station. First, the power cable caught fire, and then the fire spread to the surrounding environment. This accident caused a real traffic collapse. The movement of trains between the stations "Kotelniki" and "Kuzminki" was stopped for some time. Huge queues accumulated in the underground passages, desperate passengers stormed buses and taxis.

According to preliminary data, the fire caused a short circuit. As a result of the emergency, movement on the purple branch was partially paralyzed for several hours. This caused a crush on platforms and subway lobbies.

The metro management decided to close six stations at once. Muscovites were forced to use ground transportation. As a result, traffic was paralyzed in several districts of the capital.

This fire has become one of the most discussed topics on Twitter and Instagram. Passengers caught in a crush at the Vykhino, Kuzminki and Tekstilshchiki stations left indignant tweets and published numerous photos and videos from the scene.

Some citizens complained that the stations are crowded with people, and passengers cannot even get on the subway, let alone get on the train. There were also messages about a fight on the Vykhino platform.

"There is confusion all around, nervous people. Citizens behave inappropriately, jump under buses, fight, shout. I am scared to think how the people and local authorities would behave if something more terrible happened" - such comments were left by netizens under the videos from the scene.

On Monday, July 11, an emergency happened twice at the Vykhino station, and in both cases the cause was a malfunction of the rolling stock. However, this time the trains were delayed "only" for 17 minutes.

On the morning of July 14, on the same section of the purple line, train traffic from 05:30 to 07:00 in the morning was again suspended. This time it happened due to the short circuit of one and a half meters of electrical wiring.

Meanwhile, an emergency on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line of the Moscow metro is a common thing for passengers. So, in the winter of 2012, reports of malfunctions in the metropolitan subway were received regularly. On the evening of February 22, due to a malfunction of the alarm system, another failure occurred on the purple line. As a result, trains ran at extended intervals, which caused crowds on the platforms.

A similar incident happened on this thread on January 13th. There was no electrical voltage on the route, and therefore the metro management recommended that passengers use ground transport.

"Unhappy" branch

In the daily work of the subway, you cannot do without sophisticated equipment. At the same time, equipment breakdowns do not surprise the employees of the subway and are promptly eliminated. However, in the case of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, when accidents occur three times in a row for the same reason, the question arises: is there something wrong with the purple branch? And when will the black streak end? And most importantly - with what? So far, these questions remain unanswered.

The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is the busiest in the Moscow metro. It "carries" up to five million passengers a day. In addition to residents of the southern end of the line, the city of Lyubertsy, located right behind Vykhino, comes here every morning. It is here that residents of Ramenskoye, Yegoryevsk, Shatura, Ryazan change to the subway from electric trains. A number of bus routes from Zhulebino and Novokosino also end at the Vykhino station.

The city authorities have been trying to take control of the situation for many years. So, in 2004, the first stage of radical reconstruction of the entire station node was carried out. A new underground pedestrian tunnel was built, but this did not lead to unloading of passenger traffic. The later opening of new stations in the South-East direction only exacerbated the situation - the already overcrowded carriages received new passengers.

Meanwhile, according to experts, the excessive workload of the purple line of the Moscow metro depends on many factors. Old equipment may be one of the reasons for the string of disasters that hit the subway. For example, some journalists are convinced that his presence in the metro is allegedly hidden. The management of the metropolitan subway denies these accusations.

"On the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, we do not have old equipment. In the sense of tracks, switches and other things. It's a metro! We are responsible for the safety of a large number of passengers, so we monitor every centimeter," the chief's press secretary replied to Komsomolskaya Pravda Moscow Metro Andrey Kruzhalin.

"We constantly conduct inspections. And every night, specialists carry out general inspections and, if they find even a little bit inappropriate equipment, they promptly replace it with a new one."

In addition, one of the problems with the purple line is the outdated park. "The trains there (on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. - Ed.) Are really old. They are almost half a century old. But we cannot update the entire technopark at once. Companies simply will not have time to fulfill such a large order. Therefore, we do it gradually. ", - added a spokesman.

It was reported that in 2015 the Moscow Metro signed a contract for the provision of 768 cars of a new type, series 765. It is noteworthy that now the newest cars in the Moscow metro are series 760 cars. The subway management promises that the new batch will include wagons with folding aisles. It will be possible to safely move along the train from beginning to end while driving.

The new trains are expected to enter service from the beginning of 2017. According to the assurances of the Moscow authorities, this will first of all happen on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line.

Vykhino effect

One of the most notorious stations on the purple line, Vykhino, is constantly open during rush hour. Even in the daytime, when it would seem that most people are already at work, it is impossible to approach the entrance.

Meanwhile, according to the results of a study of passenger traffic, Vykhino station is the busiest in the Moscow metro. The device of a convenient cross-platform transfer from suburban electric trains of the Kazan direction led to an almost complete collapse of the station in the morning rush hours.

As a result, Vykhino station has become a real legend among transport workers and a horror story for passengers. Experts all over the world cite it as a negative example in reports and scientific articles.

The term “Vykhino effect” has even appeared, which refers to a situation when at the first station of a route there are so many people packed into carriages that the next passengers can no longer get on the train.

Meanwhile, the "curse of the purple branch" seems to work not only underground. In September of this year, it was reported that one of the Moscow metro trains was fired upon on the open section of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line between the Vykhino and Lermontovsky Prospekt stations. The bully opened fire from a pneumatic pistol at the electric train. As a result, two window panes were broken.

A few days later, police officers on the Moscow metro detained three suspects in Moscow, one of whom confessed to the crime. It was reported that he was a 33-year-old native of the North Caucasus Federal District. A criminal case was initiated against the suspect under the article "Hooliganism". He faces up to five years in prison.

The Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is the seventh line of the Moscow metro according to the number on the diagrams - the diametrical line connecting the northwestern districts of Moscow through the center with the eastern and southeastern districts. The predominantly underground line includes deep and shallow sections and two onshore sections. The line is indicated on maps in purple.

The history of the line begins in May 1932 with the development of a long-term plan for the development of the metro, in which, among others, it was planned to build two diameters: Tagansko-Tverskoy and Rogozhsko-Krasnopresnenskoye. On March 21, 1933, by a decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, a plan for the development of the metro consisting of five diametrical lines was approved. The Tagansky radius 8.9 km long started from the Sverdlov Square and through the stations (the names of the intermediate stations are conditional) Nogin Square - Yauzskie Vorota - Taganskaya Ploshchad - Krestyanskaya Zastava - Novodubrovskaya - Simonovo to st. The "Stalin Plant", thus, on the section from "Nogin Square" to "Krestyanskaya Zastava" corresponds to the modern passage of the line.

In 1934 it was decided to dock the Taganskoye radius to the Dzerzhinskoye one, and the routing of the Rogozhsko-Krasnopresnenskoye diameter was also changed. In the new version, the Krasnopresnensky radius began from st. "Myasnitskiye Vorota" and through the stations (the names of intermediate stations are again arbitrary) "Trubnaya Ploschad" - "Pushkinskaya Ploshchad" - "Nikitskie Vorota" - "Ploschad Vosstaniya" - "Zoo" - "Krasnaya Presnya" went to st. "Vagankovo". Accordingly, the section from "Pushkinskaya Ploschad" to "Krasnaya Presnya" (now - "Street 1905") also corresponded to the modern passage of the line.

Despite the early projects of the Krasnopresnensky radius, the Zhdanovsky radius project did not exist either before or after the war, until the very end of the 50s. So, back in 1954, the Kalininsky radius was considered as the priority construction of the VI stage, in the fall of 1957 a long-term development plan was developed, which provided for the creation of the Krasnopresnensko-Kalininskaya line from Tushino to Novogireev. The same plan proposed a new radius, which was supposed to be a continuation of the Old Arbat radius from the station. "Kalininskaya" to the village. Textile workers through Sharikopodshipnikovskaya st. On February 28, 1959, the Council of the Minister of the USSR approved the construction plan for 1959–65, which included the Kalinin radius from the station. "Taganskaya" to the station "Novogireevo" with six intermediate stations, as well as, in the form of a groundwork for future construction, Krasnopresnensky radius from the station. Krasnopresnenskaya to the station "Horoshevo" with three intermediate stations: "Zvenigorodskaya", "Magistralny proezd" and "Karamyshevo".

Design assignment for a radius from Taganskaya square. to the station, combined with the platform of the Ryazan direction of the Moscow Railways was issued to Metrogiprotrans in 1960. In 1960, it was supposed to complete the radius at the station. Veshnyaki, January 3, 1961. The Executive Committee of the Moscow City Council decided to extend the radius to the next railway platform of the Ryazan direction - Kosino. In total, 10 stations were supposed to be built within the radius, the line was routed according to the plan in 1957 through Krestyanskaya Zastava, Sharikopodshipnikovskaya Street, 2nd Mashinostroeniya Street, Novo-Ostapovskoye Highway to the station. "Tekstilshchiki" with a transfer to the platform of the Kursk direction. From st. "Tekstilshchiki", she walked through the area of the new residential development Novye Kuzminki to the platforms. Veshnyaki, where a ground station was to be built, combined with one of the platforms of the electric trains. Further, the land line went along the railway to the next station "Kosino", also land-based and combined with the railway. e. platform, which was consistent with the new concept for the construction of ground departing metro lines along the railway lines, which appeared in 1961. Art. According to this project, the "Taganskaya" deep-laid was also supposed to be combined with the future station of the Kalininsky radius, while the option of a two-level transfer station was considered. The rest of the stations of the radius were assumed to be shallow columns made of precast concrete.

As a result of working out the options, the line was straightened, and the final working draft of 1961 included 6 stations: Taganskaya, Ostapovskoe shosse, Tekstilshchiki, Kuzminskaya, Ryazanskoe shosse and Vykhino. At the same time, the last two ground stations - Veshnyaki and Kosino - were replaced by one located in the middle between them. The platforms of the same name in the Ryazan direction, Veshnyaki and Kosino, remained in their current form, and a new platform was erected to transfer between the metro and electric trains.

In 1965, Art. "Peasant Outpost" - the future "Proletarian".

On December 12, 1966, the Zhdanovskoye depot was put into operation, which since August began to receive E-type cars for the new line. On December 31, 1966, the Zhdanovskiy radius was opened with the following stations: Taganskaya, Proletarskaya, Volgogradskiy Prospekt, Tekstilshchiki, Kuzminki, Ryazanskiy Prospekt and Zhdanovskaya. The Zhdanovskaya ground station became the first and only station in Moscow to have a combined (via a platform) transfer to commuter trains. At first, the station performed almost only transfer functions, since the development of residential areas oriented to the station was just beginning at that time. The second convenient transfer to suburban electric trains was created at the station. "Textile workers". At st. "Taganskaya" was opened transition to the station of the same name of the Circle Line. Two stations were built on the radius - Volgogradsky Prospekt and Ryazansky Prospekt - with a narrowed platform: 8 m versus the standard 10 m, but with an increased column pitch - 6 m instead of the accepted 4 m. These stations became the only stations of this kind in the Moscow metro. type - a harbinger of "new centipedes" with an increased column pitch. At st. "Kuzminki" was made a reserve for a promising transfer to the station of the Big Ring.

In 1968, work began on the construction of the second radius - Krasnopresnenskoye.

On January 3, 1971, the Zhdanovskaya line was extended to the center from the station. "Taganskaya" to the station "Nogin Square" with the organization of a combined transfer to the Kaluzhskaya line. Station "Ploschad Nogina" became the terminus for both lines at once.

On December 30, 1972, the Krasnopresnensky radius was opened from the station. "Barrikadnaya" to the station Oktyabrskoe Pole with intermediate stations: Ulitsa 1905 Goda, Begovaya and Polezhaevskaya. At that time, the eighth metro line, Krasnopresnenskaya, was formed. At the same time, on the diagrams, the line was indicated by the same purple color as Zhdanovskaya with the central section under construction. The legend of the scheme was signed: Zhdanovskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya lines. Polezhaevskaya became the second station of the Moscow metro with two passenger platforms and three tracks. This configuration was chosen to ensure the operation of the future, never-built branch towards Mnevnikov, Zhivopisnaya, Serebryany Bor and Strogin. The project name of "Polezhaevskaya" - "Khoroshevskaya" - was changed shortly before the opening in connection with the death of the head of the Moscow metro building Vasily Dementyevich Polezhaev.

Krasnopresnenskaya line was served by four-car trains ТЧ-4 "Krasnaya Presnya". To communicate with the depot, a service line was built from the “Ulitsa 1905 Goda” - “Begovaya” section. There was no other connection with other metro lines.

Starting in 1974, new cars of the Ezh3 and Em-508T types began to arrive at the Zhdanovskoye TC, and the E cars were transferred to other depots.

On December 17, 1975, the central section from the station was opened. "Barrikadnaya" to the station "Nogin Square" with two intermediate stations: "Pushkinskaya" and "Kuznetsky Most". At st. "Kuznetsky Most" started a transfer to the station. "Dzerzhinskaya" of the Kirovsko-Frunzenskaya line, and st. "Pushkinskaya" until 1979 remained non-interchangeable, while its vestibule was originally built combined into two stations. With the opening of the central section, the Zhdanovskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya lines were, according to the original plan, merged into the Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. By the time the section was launched, the entire new line began to be serviced by the Zhdanovskoye PM, seven-car trains were put into operation.

On December 30, 1975, a section from st. "October field" to the station "Planernaya" (since the 90s, the pronunciation norm is adopted, fixed first in autoinformators, and later on in the diagrams - "Glider") with intermediate stations: "Shchukinskaya", "Tushinskaya" and "Skhodnenskaya". PM-6 "Planernoe" is put into operation. On the stretch between st. "Shchukinskaya" and "Tushinskaya" were built in structures without the construction of lobbies, but st. Volokolamskaya. Shchukinskaya became the 100th station of the Moscow metro.

July 19, 1979 with the launch of the intermediate station. "Gorkovskaya" of the Gorkovsko-Zamoskvoretskaya line, a transfer was organized between the stations "Pushkinskaya" and "Gorkovskaya".

On September 27, 1983, the transition to operation of eight-car trains began. Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya became the first line in the Moscow metro to use eight-car trains spanning the entire length of the platform. The peak schedule provided for the passage of 40 pairs of trains per hour.

December 31, 1987 with the opening of st. The Chekhovskaya Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line received a transfer to the Serpukhovskaya line: a three-station interchange hub "Pushkinskaya" - "Gorkovskaya" - "Chekhovskaya" was formed.

January 13, 1989 Art. Zhdanovskaya was renamed Vykhino. At the same time, the name "Vykhino" was given to the train depot Zhdanovskoye and the platform of the Ryazan direction of the Moscow railway "Zhdanovskaya". Zhdanovsko-Krasnopresnenskaya line was renamed to Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya. November 5, 1990 within the framework of a large-scale renaming of stations at st. "Nogin Square" was named "Kitay-Gorod".

On July 23, 1997, a transfer was opened between st. "Proletarskaya" and Art. "Krestyanskaya Zastava" of the Lyublinskaya line, which went into operation on December 28, 1995. There was no transfer between the stations for these one and a half years: to move from Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya to the Lyublinskaya line, it was required to leave the lobby of the station. "Proletarskaya" and go to the adjacent lobby of st. "Peasant Outpost" with re-paid fare.

On October 2, 2004, the reorganization of the transfer hub at st. "Vykhino". The platform on track II was reconstructed, while the combined transfer to electric trains was eliminated: the platform on track II stopped accepting electric trains from the Ryazan direction towards Moscow, a new platform was built for them, starting from the western end of the existing one.

In mid-2011, work began to extend the line to the east of st. "Vykhino" in the Zhulebino area.

On November 9, 2013, the Vykhino - Zhulebino section with the Lermontovsky Prospekt and Zhulebino stations was opened.

In December 2012, work began on the reactivation of the building built in 1974–75. between Art. "Shchukinskaya" and "Tushinskaya" st. Volokolamskaya, which was associated with the construction of the Spartak stadium at the Tushino airfield. The station received a new name - "Spartak". It was commissioned under this name on August 27, 2014.

Quite often people who live in Moscow or who have arrived in the capital for a while try to understand the structure of the local metro. It is difficult for them to immediately understand which branch is radial, and why it is called that.

In our article we will give answers to these questions. In addition, a list of stations that are such will be presented below.

Where is

Practically only in the Moscow metro one can hear the word "radial" when it comes to a specific station. The fact is that there is a Ring Line in the metropolitan subway. On the metro maps of previous years, it is marked as a geometric brown circle. But besides it, there are other lines that cross it.

It is worth delving into history for a while in order to understand where these branches (radial) came from, what kind of stations they are. The first thing in 1935 was built ("Park Kultury" - "Sokolniki"), then the construction of the Zamoskvoretskaya line began, then over time other branches appeared. By the way, even now on the metro map, as well as in modern trains with an electronic board above the doors, you can see numbers indicating the line (branch) number. The numbering was not chosen by chance. It just means the chronological sequence of construction.

The circular line is the fifth in a row. It has become, in fact, a transfer. And every station on this line has a transfer hub (neighboring stations belonging to other lines). It is they that are radial. Which metro line intersects with the Koltsevaya will be described below.

Why "radial"

Why did they come up with such a strange term - "radial", and why do Muscovites use this word? The fact is that it is used due to the presence of a radius at the Circle line. That is, as mentioned earlier, this branch is a circle. And any circle always has a radius, that is, the distance from its center to any edge. And just on these edges there are transfer stations. This is where the term "radial" came from.

For example, a passenger is traveling from Vykhino to the Taganskaya-radial station, which line he does not know. He needs to get to Paveletskaya-Koltsevaya. And, of course, knowledgeable people will explain to him that he needs to get to the Taganka, and then go from the radial to the Koltso. That is, on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line, the Taganskaya station is radial.

What stations

To make it easier to understand which stations are radial, which subway lines are, it is worth considering their full list, starting from the Park Kultury station of the Sokolnicheskaya line and clockwise:

  • "Park Kultury" Sokolnicheskaya;
  • "Kievskaya" Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya;
  • "Kievskaya" by Filevskaya;
  • "Barrikadnaya" Tagansko-Kranopresnenskaya;
  • "Belorusskaya" Zamoskvoretskaya;
  • "Mendeleevskaya" Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya;
  • "Prospect Mira" Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya;
  • "Komsomolskaya" Sokolnicheskaya;
  • Kurskaya Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya;
  • "Chkalovskaya" Lublinskaya;
  • "Taganskaya" Tagansko-Kranopresnenskaya;
  • "Marxist" Kalininskaya;
  • "Paveletskaya" Zamoskvoretskaya;
  • "Serpukhovskaya" Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya;
  • "Oktyabrskaya" Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya.

Each branch has its own color coding. The ring line, we repeat, has been brown from the very beginning of its existence.

How not to get confused in transitions

It should be noted right away that the word "radial" is not officially used. The informant uses other phrases on the trains, for example, upon arrival at the Komsomolskaya station of the Circle Line, the train informant will announce: "Komsomolskaya station." Transition to the Sokolnicheskaya line ". It's the same with pointers. There is nowhere the phrase "transition to the radial", instead of it, for example: "The transition to the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line."

For convenience, a color scheme is used. Muscovites who often use the subway know what color the radial branches are. For guests and people who rarely use the metro, we can provide a hint.

The Moscow Metro is a rather complex transport facility. At first, it will be very difficult for a beginner to navigate. Therefore, it is advisable to always have a diagram with you, either printed, or as an application on a smartphone.

In conclusion, I would like to point out one very common mistake. Sometimes, unknowingly, people ask: what is "radial", what kind of branch is it? And the concept "radial", as you have seen, refers to the fifteen stations listed above. Therefore, you need to know which of them we are talking about.
