Sparkling spheres, flowers made of golden threads, golden and shimmering peonies, chrysanthemums and palm trees will appear in the sky.
Festive fireworks in Moscow are traditionally launched at one in the morning. By this time, the New Year begins throughout the entire country - from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad.

The authorship of fireworks belongs to the people who invented gunpowder - the Chinese. The Chinese believed that on New Year's Day, evil spirits entered human homes and villages from the other world, and to scare them away, they began to set off fireworks.
It is believed that gunpowder was brought to Europe by the famous traveler and merchant Marco Polo, who at one time lived and traded in China. And it was his compatriots, the Italians, who were the first to master fireworks on the European continent.
In Russia, masters of pyrotechnics first appeared under the Streletsky Regiment back in 1545. However, the first large fireworks display dates back to 1674, and was launched in Ustyug. Then fireworks gained immense popularity thanks to Emperor Peter the Great. Soviet authority initially interrupted the pyrotechnic traditions, but after Battle of Kursk, which marked a decisive turning point in the war with Hitler's Germany and its allies, on August 5, 1943, the famous salute was given in honor of the liberation of Orel and Belgorod.
